As a Firefighter I never used the spring-loaded-carbide-tipped-glass-breaker that I carried. If you're outside of the car there is always something to break a side window with (even a regular :spyder :) . Just pop that bad boy against one of the corners and Bob's your uncle.

Scalpel blades in the OR come in sealed individual packages that click into the handles that come with the rest of the autoclaved instruments (some handles are also disposable plastic types). It really depends on the Doc's preference.

3) The grip shape worked well for me but the alum. frame felt slippery around the edges (except where there was jimping).

The H1 Dyad and the Airborne are in Sal's casual bombshell thread. I'm guessing the Airborne sometime early next year... I would love to see the Dyad by Fall 2008. I know that Sal and the Gang have quite a few irons in the fire so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed.

I was surprised I didn't see any recommendations for a Swamp Rat Howling Rat for a fixie. Cliff Stamp loved it...to death.

Of course a proper prybar (or prybaby) would be best.
