I would love to see the H1 Dyad but especially the Airborne. I'm ex- 77th Special Forces Airborne and 82nd Airborne. Any other X's out there? Is that OK to ask in this forum. If I made a mistake I'm sorry. Thanks.

Majidoc, I was wondering when you served with the 77th SF? Joe

Hi Mastiff, 1954-1956 under Col. Edson Rice. Were you there also? Thanks.

That was before my time, though I had the pleasure of spending some time in Bad Tolz. I've got a cousin who's still in with 34 years. From 75th rangers to 3rd group, all SF. He's an amazing guy.

Welcome to our forum. Joe

Mastiff, thanks for the welcome. 34 years is a long time. Good luck to him. And good luck to you also.

H-1 Dyad: It will open doors for double bladed folders

#7

Post by JD Spydo »

We need to start a "COUNTDOWN" for the upcoming H-1 DYAD. It's going to be a success I'm sure.

The DYAD is just another of many Spyders that you have to use it and get your hands dirty with it to fully realize it's potential.

I thought at first that it was a bit too big and bulky to be an efficient EDC folder.

But with Spyderco's innovation of the pocket clip it eliminates any such problem. H-1 is not my favorite steel but I do like it much better than I thought I would. It actually holds an edge better than I originally anticipated. Let the COUNTDOWN begin. Actually the COUNTDOWN should coincide with the Superhawk and the new Ayoob

I must have been absent the day of the announcement, too. If an H1 Dyad is making an appearance, very interesting. (Photo?)

I have no doubt it will be a success, but a countdown is something I'd like to shoot down right now. There was a countdown (of sorts) for the Lava, and I'm still missing a few patches of hair

We're going to have a new H1 Dyad. This is good. So let it be.

For the sake of all our sanity and hair follicles, let it be.

The H1 Dyad and the Airborne are in Sal's casual bombshell thread. I'm guessing the Airborne sometime early next year... I would love to see the Dyad by Fall 2008. I know that Sal and the Gang have quite a few irons in the fire so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed.

Cameron, you already have the "Devil Jumpmaster" on your wish list? Have you seen a prototype?

Is it a fixed blade?

No, I haven't seen it. It is a fixed blade. I figure if I don't want to hold onto it I'll give it to an acquaintance of mine in CAG for Chirstmas.

Based on the variance in release dates, perhaps a countup will be more in order?

I'm not x-77th Special Forces Airborne, but my father was. I don't know when you served, but if was in the 50s perhaps you knew him?
