Mine does not have the logo. Bought it several weeks ago from NGK. I'm using it.

Touched it up again at 30 degrees. Seems to have improved the edge, but I'm kinda splitting hairs (tried to avoid the pun). Going pig hunting today. If I kill a boar I'll test the blade on it's hide and cartiguous layer. I've seen that layer stop a .45 acp ball at 10 feet.

To me, the bolsters are a MAJOR part of what makes the Persian "The Persian". Without them, it devolves into a "Chinook III Jr" and becomes just one more of brick in Spyderco's wall of oh so tediously uber-practial, butt ugly, yet ergonomic "tractors" rather than the almost "anti-Spyder ...

How about a large Dyad in VG10? Every Dyad I see on web is the small one.

I edc a zdp 189 Chinese Folder. For camping, hunting, or trips I carry an e4 combo edge. When I walk my dog at night i carry a carIBM fiber bg42 Military. That Gayle knife and the new Stretch have me itching for something new.

Lost a Vesuvius and a Chinook while hunting. My wife lost her first Delica in her car. Never found any of them.

** But you can't match Damascus to any handle material. Damascus and CF don't mix, in my opinion. Bone, stag, ironwood, oiled walnut, KOA... that's what I think should be mated to Damascus.
