Paul,
What is handle material on the knife between Jigged bone and stag?
That's mammoth ivory, Roman. Purchased the ivory on eBay, had SFSW install it for me. Similar story with the engraved one. Purchased the sambar stag from a vendor at a knife show, Santa Fe installed it for me. Hard to tell in that picture but, like two of the Persians, the jigged bone Kiwi sports a Tom Krein full flat grind. That little sucker puts Gillette Super Blues to shame. Red bone one was a gift from Sal, one of only a dozen or so that were made with pins.

Sadly there is no :spyder: in my EDC rotation right now. German jurisdiction is the reason behind this...

I used to rotate:
Millie
Centofante 4
Shabaria
G10 Police
Centofante C25 with aluminium handle

At the moment I tend to carry mid-sized fixed blades, b/c these are still legal.

That last persian in the photo is beautiful, the one with wooden scales and a reground blade. Don't remember seeing that one before. Glad I asked for pictures.

Exceptional Kiwis too :D

Currently:

Mon-Fri work EDC - G10 Calypso III

Whenever EDC - Foliage Green FRN CE Endura 4

Pajama EDC - ZDP-189 SE Delica 4

Pretty much the main 3 Spyderco knives I use right now. Fridays at work is a casual dress day so sometimes I carry 1 of my Emersons or my Strider, sometimes my FG FRN Endura. My ZDP-189 SE Delica use to be my work EDC at the Clinic, but since starting a new job it's been clipped on a pair of sweat pants.

Interested in getting the FRN Stretch & I'm on the list for the M4 Military, so they might make it into the rotation.

Almost every day in pocket: Caly 3 G-10 PE
On keychain: Jester PE micarta
Around the house: new Para SE

Hiking and outdoors: vintage Para SE
"Dress": Lava or Caly Jr. PE micarta or Dyad Jr, micarta, or Nav 2 SS PE

To me, they're the two best larger folders Spyderco has produced. They fit comfortably in my back pocket, feel like an extension of my hand, and cut like demons.

As for the small folders, with rare exceptions it's a Kiwi. I own over sixty of them and all but a couple get carried occasionally, but these four seem to get more than their share of pocket time.

I've never been one for jewelry, but Kiwis, like watches, blur the line between function and art. Great little knives, and benign enough looking that anyone frightened by one can be considered an oxygen thief.
Deacon that Stag Persian and Kiwi are beautiful. If they ever do a sprint run of the large Persian that would be what it should look like. :D

Given the general scarcity of Sambar Stag, finding a sufficient quantity large enough for the Persian would be difficult and the cost would be high. The "good news" is, the Persian in that photo isn't really stag, it's just stag jigged bone. It would be a lot easier to find and far more reasonably priced than the real McCoy, so it might be something Sal and Ed would consider using.

I edc a zdp 189 Chinese Folder. For camping, hunting, or trips I carry an e4 combo edge. When I walk my dog at night i carry a carIBM fiber bg42 Military. That Gayle knife and the new Stretch have me itching for something new.
I strive to be the man my dog thinks I am.

I really try to mix up my EDC between the other knives in my collection (E4W, 2x big manixes, a d2 para, and a superhawk), but ever since I got a CF Stretch 2, nothing else seems to be able to displace it from my pocket. Especially once I learned to put a mirror finish on the edge.

Nothing else I have cuts quite like that Stretch, though the Manixes do get some pocket time when I'm out doing construction work, or off camping.

I don't rotate. So, this Paramilitary is my EDC every day of the week (a REAL every day carry knife!).

Image

And this guy rides along every day as well (although two days this week, he was displaced by an old Schrade 8OT).
