'hideaway' knife alternatives?
i like the Hideaway, and i know there is no cost that can be placed on personal safety... but we all know what its like to have a limited budget for items at times.
any suggested short blade, compact, fixed knives? i think the SPOT and SWICK may be a bit long in the handle for what i want ...

i really like M v W. Bear makes an excellent host, and i enjoy the things he does on the show. while Survivor Man might be a bit more authentic (but when Bear eats frozen sheep eyeballs and drinks his own urine, i think people should take care in their criticisms) since Les has to do his own camera ...

what a FANTASTIC knife!
i've gone through a handful of spydies and byrds over the last year. all were nice knives and of great quality. of the few byrds i've handled, i really can't believe the quality for the price, its just about unheard of.
