Does anyone else have a Ruger 22/45 Mark III.
Just got one.I traded my SKS for it new in the box at a dealer. :D
It was Coal Creek Armory, the lady that runs it is very good to work with, carries a early P Sebenza and was looking at a line of Spydercos that a collector that sets up at local gun shows brought in to show her.
Haven't shot it yet but really feels nice in hand.
It's a nice gun Mr. Smith and does feel great in the hand...I don't own one but have shot one...can you spell accurate!!!!....I'm a big Ruger fan BTW......Enjoy! I know you will......Doc :D

The 22/45 Mark III features a completely restyled polymer grip frame with a serrated front strap and checkered grip areas and back strap for a great appearance and a comfortable, non-slip hold. The new 22/45 Mark III also incorporates the very first visible loaded chamber indicator for a .22 rimfire pistol. Tapered bolt ears, a contoured ejection port, and an unobtrusive internal lock add to the many new features of the Ruger 22/45 Mark III, making it the most advanced product of its kind. The following was From the Ruger website.....some notable features which I liked on this model......Doc :D

You got yourself a fine shooter there! The Rugar Mark series are a very smooth, accurate gun. Although I do not own one I've shot them. A Browning is also a nice gun. I to love Ruger's. I'm going to pick up a single-six in stainless. Also i like their Vaquero.
One thing nice about that weapon is that it is fun to shoot and you can go athrough a brick of amno and it hardly costs anything.

I love the single six and bearcat but my finger is a little large for the trigger graurd.
I belive it is the Blackhawk that you can get with a .357 and 9mm cylinder.I have always wanted one of those because of all the differant ammo that could be used in it.
One negative I heard about from someone who got a new one, extra safties and something to do with the clip needing to be in it to dry fire, I could be wrong though. Enlighten me about this please.
I have a bull barrel Mark II, great gun. I put the thumb grips on it. The new Hunter would be awesome to own and shoot. Congrats.
Yeah, its got a key safty that I will not use.It comes with a small allen head key that you insert into a small hole by the safty lever to lock the safty in the on position. You would never know its there if you arn't going to use it.No biggy there.
It can not be fired with the mag out and I do not really like that but I would be willing to bet there is an easy fix for that.
i'd like to pick up a 22 semi auto. i've been considering the Browning Buckmark, the Ruger Mk series (of course), the Beretta Neos, and the Sig Trailside (CDNN had a good sale on them now).
the staff at coal creek are pretty decent. i think its improved some since its name change (don't know if ownership changed).
on the firearm topic, i recently picked up a Mossberg 500 12ga. Going to use it as a dual purpose gun; 28" ported barrel with 3 swappable chokes for sport shooting, 18.5" barrel for home defense. also adding a hogue stock/foregrip and a 5 shell buttstock side saddle.
The ownership did change.I forget who owned it before but it was the same family for years. That owner really thought it was going to hit the fan dureing Y2K.When nothing happened I noticed the stock there(Gun Craft sports then)
went way down.Glad to see its comeing back as a really nice gun shop.
