Are you sure it came with two washers on each side? I mean, it isn't a reflection on the liners, right? Did you buy it new or was it pre-owned?

Brand new and yes....2 washers on each side. I have a few spydies like this. The only problem with this model is that you cant adjust for lateral blade ...

P.S.N.

now that you have done that, maybe you can answer my question. I have 1 that has a good amount of play when closed. Is there a way that you can tell by looking at the parts how to fix it. Maybe another washer? It came with 2 on each side as it is. Let me know brother. It will give me a ...

That's quite a HUGE difference... they have not much to do with each other.

Well, when I see a Chinook for sale somewhere in the future, I'll think about snatching it up :)

Absolutely buy one when you get the chance. A tank of a folder

As much as I like the Manix 2, there's nothing like the original. ;)

Amen to that brother!! That's why I have moved on to carrying the Chinook. Same beefy construction. More comfortable to hold IMO. The original Manix and Chinook series of knives are pretty hard to be in ...

My fg should be on the brown truck as we speak! Can't wait. I've noticed lately my move towards a smaller edc. I have been carrying large folders for so many years now that it is almost refreshing to be a little different.

Thanks, that's what I was looking for. Where is the bend in the spring? is it at the screw midway or at the thin spot near the front? Thanks for your input.

UKPK take down

For all of you UK fans out there, how easy are they to disassemble and fit back together correctly. I can't imagine it's too bad with such a small amount of moving parts.(I like to tinker) I am interested in adding another spydie or 3 to the collection. I need a good slippie. How strong is the ...

Long term storage

Maybe Sal can answer this.

Will the spring on a lockback relax over a long period of storage time. Lets say 10 years or so unused? Will the knife still have "life" as if it were right off the line? I have a few Buck knives that are well over the 30 yr mark. The lock springs are considerably weaker ...

Spyderdog,

All you need to do is turn your stop pin a little and tighten everything down. That should eat up some of that movement.

I also carry a rescue 93. For me it is ideal for carry at work (L.E.O.) I just ordered the salt version. If it is half as good I will be pleased. The way it is designed makes it the easiest to open of all my folders. Small package with a big punch.
