Hi all!
Haven't been posting lately, but I thought you oldies (even the newbies, maybe) might enjoy this.
I neglected to shave over the Memorial Day weekend and I wore the stubble into work on Tuesday. Naturally a (not so) witty wiseguy said something like; "What happened, lose your razor? I ...

I think you better read the fine print on that Militec Vox. I recently came across a potion called Nut Sauce. Its made to lube guitar tuning nuts. It contains graphite suspended in a low to mid weight teflon grease. A very small bit, worked in with the heat of a hair dryer, works wonders on folders.

The knives I keep in my pyramid come out sharper than when I put them in, the hole heals over, and they open themselves when I just think about using them!!!
On a serious note, a little strop action brought things back nicely. I,m going to have to start using a Tuff-Cloth on my blades before I put ...

Wha Hopin??
When I put my Delica away last March or April it was very shaving sharp. Nearly, but not quite hair popping sharp. Today I got it out and it wasn't even close to shaving sharp. I hypothesize oxidation of the very edge where the relative surface area is high and the individual crystal elements of the ...

"Shogun", "Tai-Pan", "Gai-Jin", "King Rat", and now I'm working on "Noble House". Clavell's Asian saga is a long, but gripping read. Like Michener, he wraps a great fictional yarn around a loose version of history so you actually learn something while being entertained. It even includes some good ...

Klez is all over the knife and outdoor/survival type forums right now. I've been hit four times in three days. Some adolescents think its funny, mainly because it upsets so many people. Just keep your virus software up to date and don't worry about it. My ISP filters it out for me which is a nice ...
