(don't mind me, just bored at the moment and have time to type)
If the company gives a release date or price, and the final result differs from that projected, the company will usually recieve it's share of flak from the comsumer.
By simply giving Price & Date TBD, or "projecting" a date(ie 3rd quarter 03), they avoid MOST of the problems.
The reason they don't post pics until the model is within 6months of public release is simply security. If they have pics floating a year or so in advance, and some jack<font color=black>a</font>ss goes and makes a knockoff before even collectors get the real one, it makes the company look bad by "copying the rip-off"(in the eyes of joe-sheeple).
Also, as there are often changes made between proto-type and end product, stating materials used, and then changing them if something works better, tends to aggravate people, which in turn creates more flak to deal with.
Thus, it alleviates much of the problem by simply saying "it's in the works, info will be given in due time" to any and all consumer questions.

Try to figure a smaller Military (2/3) with a compression lock and a wire clip for left/right, tip up/down carry <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
Possible handles color: navy blue, dessert tan, olive drab or black.
