Perhaps there's an obvious reason for it ,but I've always been puzzled as to why Spyderco doesn't offer the possibility of tip up carry on the Military. I like lanyards, and of course tip down carry puts the lanyard in your pocket, eliminating the possibility of at least catching your lanyard in a ...

This a topic dear to my heart. I have about a dozen Spydercos including 3 fixed blades. I'd have a lot more folders if Spyderco made them a little bigger. For example, I love the look of the new Zowada, if it was 4" or just under [like the Chinook] I would have bought it for sure, however I think it ...

I've done exactly as my wife 'suggested' and have not bought a single knife so far this year. I'm anxiously waiting for the new folding Szabo but I guess that could take a while. I may buy the Police 3 in the near future. I find the 43/8 " blade very attractive.

I also recently picked up the Rock Salt and I agree that it's a great knife. However Sixheads wanting a leather sheath for the Rock Salt is like a punch in the gut for me.

I'm glad to hear that there will be a sprint run of the original large Persian. I'm also glad that the handle material will be different as it gives me an excuse to buy another one and also because for some reason, I'm not that crazy about the original Persian's micarta handle. I'd prefer G10 or FRN ...

I hope this thread isn't dead yet. Something I still don't get is the love so many people seem to have for small folders. The extra weight and cost for a bigger folder, which is so much more capable in an emergency, is usually not that significant. I blame you small knife lovers for leading Spyderco ...

Kydex sheath for Warrior
A week or so ago Sal Glesser was kind enough to respond personally [ of course I bragged to my wife; " that's the kind of stroke I've got Baby"] to a guestion I had about Spyderco eventualy making a Boltaron sheath for the Warrior. Sal indicated that he didn't think this would happen as military ...

I really like the look of that Native 4. If that knife were to come out with a 4" blade[ or even longer, along the lines of the new Police model] I'd buy it.

I have to confess I haven't read all the postings on this thread but I'd also love to see a Spyderco Tomahawk. I'm not a camper so I would definitely prefer a hawk to a hatchet. I've got all the CS hawks as well as the Sog hawks which were all inexpensive and ,in my view, well worth it for the money ...

Thanks very much to everybody who responded to my G-clip question. $4.95 seems like a very reasonable price. I think I'll order 3 or 4 units as I have two or three sheaths with Tek-locks from other makers which would be much handier equipped with G-clips. [ yes, I'm not entirely monogamous when it ...

I just picked up two H1 knives; the Warrior [ love the knife but wish the sheath was Boltaren with a G-clip] and the Schemp Rock Salt which I also love plus I really like the sheath with the G-clip which is a huge improvement over the Tek-Lock IMO.
