i am not extremely knowledgeable about surfire but i couldn't find a light with a q5 from surefire.com.......is that just an aftermarket drop in?......but if you compare factory fenix to factory surefire, fenix would have to be the better choice for the general public IMHO......the price difference ...

How do you say "stealing our jobs with cheap labor" in German?

BMW announced it is investing $750 million to increase production in South Carolina. They are cutting jobs in Germany and moving them to the US. The lower value of the dollar makes the US a more attractive place to make things.

I like the idea of a lower cost Spyderco from China. I don't think there is any chance of Spyderco going all Chinese all the time. That would make me feel like the guy on the Titanic who said "I asked for ice, but this is ridiculous."

No offence to the fans of it, but I can't see why the delica keeps coming back. Of all the spydies out there, I think it's the most non-descript.

I'm still glad that there are some fairly unique spydie folders out there, that's really what sets spyderco apart from other companies that make quality ...

It's good at cutting rope or cardboard, but if you hit something hard like a staple or a glass bottle with the edge it's going to chip much more easily than a tougher steel like VG-10.

I love that the serrations are up front where they should be.

It might be fun to take a fully serrated wave rescue knife and have the tip reground into a tanto.

Another option would be to take a fully serrated wave rescue knife and leave it flat on the tip, but have the tip chisel ground like a Japanese chef's knife. You would then have a flat razer sharp ...

I'd like to see a picture of one with both blades open, if anybody has one or a link to one. I bet it looks like a miniature Klingon Batleth with both blades open.

The heavy duty Surefire lights like the M (Military) series and the C series with twisty \ push for momentary switch are in a class by themselves.

The smaller, thinner Surefire with clicky switches, like the E (Executive) series have some problems with the tailcap switch. Surefire has great ...

I don't know. I do remember reading a post somewhere by someone who was felt that it would be necessary to reprofile both sides at the same time, or maybe go back and forth rapidly like on a Sharpmaker. The person who posted felt that if you tried to do one side, the blade would get warped due to ...

I think you may need to design your own knife. Is this a comic for kids?

If it's a graphic novel for adults, how about the Spyderco folder with the wavy blade. I forgot what that's called.

I don't remember the name but there is a folding "electrician's" pocket knife designed just for that. They have a slight hawksbill and have a blue handle. Maybe somebody here knows what that is called.

How about putting a tanto point on it. You could have have a PE point for poking and scraping, and a SE for slicing.

If you want a rescue or boat knife, it is perfect as it is.

If the Harvard student had not started out with a lie, maybe they would have believed what he said later. I read somewhere that he initially claimed he was only a witness.
