Hey, very good point Antoine. Those just looked decorative to me, but they really are functional - makes me feel a lot better and I will make sure to grip tightly with the index finger into the choil to make maximum use of the internal jimping in the handle. Thanks - will have to keep this one.

My list:

1. Rocklobster (times two) :)
2. Native 4 (carbon fiber) - just wow on that grind
3. Spyderhawk (b/c it is just awesome  )
4. Urban (both blade styles - like the color a lot)
5. Rookie (b/c of the pointy tip)
6. Ladybug (orange or white) - something different and small

Cool. Will there be any "special" prices (not at retail) or special items that are not available through regular retail channels?

Thanks.

The Swick of course - makes a great letter opener and you can spin that little sucker around your finger all day long and it actually helps you think better :)

Besides, it is too bulky for pocket carry in dress slacks, so this is the only real use it gets from me.

Yes they did miss out on the Swick. My favorite desktop letter opener :)

It is fun to spin on my finger and can even at times help me think better. ;)
How's that for a selling point. Bought mine while passing through Golden on the way back from a very good skiing trip with my family. The Swick ...

I haven't seen a picture of the Spyderco version yet, didn't know there was one - please point me to it. I will buy one b/c I love the Wilkins designs, but I just wish it were a little bigger. I have a feeling this is going to be as hot as the Lums were and still are.

Thanks.

I agree, that is why I have three of them. They also fit into my slacks pocket with no awkward shape poking out. Very office friendly but will do a number on carpet too. :) Edited to add: Please do a run in titanium or carbon fiber a la the ZDP Caly, Jr. VG-10, S30V, ZDP, or 52100 would all be good ...

Wilkins Collaboration - ETA?

I did a search but came up dry on this one -

When is the Wilkins collaboration slated for production? I want one of those cool knives he makes, but can't justify the cost, so I will wait on his Spyderco rendition. Anybody know anything about this?

Thanks.

G-10 Cara Cara - smokin' deal.

I needed a fix so I ordered a Byrd G-10 Cara Cara, Crossbill, and Pelican. They arrived from grand prairie a few days ago.

The G-10 Cara is definitely the best of the bunch. Fitting is perfect, action is smooth after applying some TW25 synthetic white grease, proportions are hefty but I like that ...
