I haven't seen a picture of the Spyderco version yet, didn't know there was one - please point me to it. I will buy one b/c I love the Wilkins designs, but I just wish it were a little bigger. I have a feeling this is going to be as hot as the Lums were and still are.

Thanks.

I haven't seen a pic of the Spydie either yet - I think (hope!) its going to be in the style of the lightweight Leafstorm here - (http://www.wilkins-knives.com/folderpag ... orm_e.html

I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's probably going to be done in simple all stainless... although I would hope for Ti/colored G-10.

Hi all - Yes, this is a very promising little collaboration model. Kevin's Leafstorm model proved to be a very sturdy little EDC companion. I believe this model will be very popular in Europe!
Kevin is a very popular custom maker in Germany/Europe. According to the explanations on his website, he is no longer accepting custom orders. Instead he produces a batch of knives from the limited models he keeps in his line-up, and offers those for sale. First come, first serve.

From what I heard from Eric and Sal, the model will be USA-made in our Golden factory. The difference will probably be the pivot. Spyderco utilizes their own pivot and not recreate a pivot like Kevin uses on his custom pieces. Otherwise the knife will be very simular to the original. Like Sal said; CPM-S30V steel, Ti- frame, and translucent green/olive G-10 frontscale. Release; probably sometime next year. Start saving guys 'cause this is the ONE!

Well the Wilikins model uses G-11... is there translucent G-10? Even if opaque this sounds great!

Basically G-10 and G-11 are the same thing with the G-11 being translucent.

I think this one'll be popular everywhere - but do I have to wait until next year - noooooo - sure it'll be worth the wait tho' :D

Can I pre-order????

The Leafstorm looks great but it's hard to tell how good its ergonomics are from the pictures. Has anyone handled on of these bad boys? Can you get a secure and comfortable grip? Where do you put your index finger

Anything from Wilkins / Spyderco will have cash flying out of my wallet at breakneck speeds.

I'm going to have to nail it down to the desk.

If the picture is anything to go by, a frame lock.
