Swick 2 was actually third generation. Swick 1 had two versions. A new Swick would be the fourth, technically speaking, but I'd like the idea of a third one I don't know ...

There were 3 runs of Swicks. Two of which were sprints if I recall correctly.

I have an old Spot lying around somewhere, being overshadowed by the sheer awesomeness of the Swick Both nice little knives, but I don't believe they were particularly popular when they were around.

Tasman is quite sturdy and will hold up to semi-abuse. Have not owned a mini Matriarch, but that tip looks a bit thin for heavy use. On the flip side, I find VG-10 to outlast H-1 before I need to sharpen, and serrated only increases the time between sharpenings.

Have to chime in here, mine is still going strong after 6+ years I think. To be perfectly honest though, it was lost in a shed in the backyard for a year of that.
