Re: 2015 Forum Knife Poll: Preferred Blade Length
For an EDC, I find 3" a bit too short and anything over 3.5" too long. The Domino (3.13"), PM2 (3.438") and Double Bevel (3.39") are all perfect. It also comes down to the cutting edge length as well as this can vary depending on the choil.

Re: Disappointed With Caly 3.5
The Caly's are easy to clean having no washers, take out pivot and drop the blade out (wrap a tie-wrap or something around lock to make it easier to put back together again). Don't know if Spyderco classifies this as "disassembly"

Re: If you could only carry one?
I'd be happy with any of these 3 (I know pesky BM jumped in there), I have a few Caly3's, will definitely have to pick up a 3.5 to add to the rotation.

Fake PM2 local sale
Found this while browsing the local Kijiji:

The guy is being up front about it being a fake, he probably got burned on it.

Re: Bolt-Action Lock for Spyderco Knives?
I have both the G10 and CF Sage3 and I love the lock on them. They are a wide knife which is one reason I don't carry them as much but they are very smooth knives and feel great in the hand.

Re: Spyderco Single Bevel
I handled a Double-Bevel at a dealer and loved everything about it except the tanto-blade shape. I'm digging what the OP did to his, looks great!

Re: Sage 3 smoothness
I have both a Sage3 Blue G10 and the CF version and a Manix2 (DLC, hollow-grind) and they are all very smooth but in a different kind of way. With the Manix 2, between the weight of the blade and the pivot bushing, leads it to have next to no resistance with the ball bearing in the lock just adding ...

Re: Delica with Foliage Green G-10 scales
I'm up for a G10 Delica sprint run, a friend of mine has one and I've asked him a few times if he wants to part with it but he won't! I'd prefer black but any darker colour is good for me.

Loving my Domino, it's rarely left my pocket since I got it in March. Mine has a little rattle but it seems to be the lanyard tube but it's not not anything I noticed until I shook it. It has a strong detent which is a bonus in a flipper. It's a little harder to deploy by the Spydie-hole because of ...

I have 3 PM2's: Black DLC - was pretty free except for near closing, even after adjusting pivot. I took it apart and found an imperfection on the liner near the pivot area which I used a polishing dremel bit to clean up. Worked fine ever since. Brown S35VN - wicked free, no resistance opening or clo...

I have both and I found the Chaparral to be a great office knife, good for slicing apples for a snack and opening mail and packages. The darker clip helps it to not stand out. The twill CF gives it a bit of traction and looks classy. The Caly is more of a perfect gentleman's knife, not too small, no...

I have both the G10 and the CF versions and I prefer the CF version. It's not slick CF due to the texture but it's not as grippy as G10. I prefer the BAL over the CBBL (ie. Manix2), it's not as loose as an Axis lock and it's a little stiff to actuate with one digit but with two it's fine. If you pre...

The Caly series is washer-less and easy to take apart after taking out the pivot screw. I used tuff-glide after I patina'd it then apply BM BlueLube from time to time. New Sage 3 CF
I received a new Sage 3 CF from my wife for Valentine's Day and it is nice! I already have the first 4 already but she knew I wanted the new updated 3 in Carbon Fiber ;) I've always loved the Bolt Action Lock but I always thought the Sage3 would look better in black and boy it does! I've already had...

I like Spyderco's wire clips but I tend to only carry knives with their hour-glass clips during the winter as I find my coat can catch the wire clip and pull it out of my pocket. I've had knives half come out of my pocket and even had a couple hit the floor. I think the hour-glass clips have more su...
