Identifyable Markings

Does anyone make any distinguishing marks on their spydies in case they misplace them and someone else finds it. Obviously, this would only apply to your EDC since you would'nt want to mark up your collectables. I tried a little paint in the logo of my delica but it scratches off too easy. I am ...

Mini Dyad Jr.

Is there a model called the Mini Dyad Jr. If so I think I picked one up the other day. It is only 3 inches closed and the handle appears to be possibly carbon fiber. Can anyone tell me when this model was produced.

Thanks,

Thanks everyone for the encouragement and suggestions. I don't mind buying online it's just that I hate waiting for my purchase to arrive in the mail. I like that instant gratification of buying in person. Besides, when ordering online I have to make sure I get the mail before the wife does or she ...

Buying Knives

Just curious, where do most of you purchase your spydies? Do you prefer to shop online or at an actual store. If you do shop online has anyone ever heard of Excalibur Enterprises? I just made a purchase from them and now I am thinking that it would problably have been wise to ask this before ...

Refinishing the clip

I am working on removing the paint from the clip of my Delica and I was wondering how everyone else does it. I would like it to be as shiney as the blade but the best I can do is a dull finish. I am using a dremel tool with a wire brush and metal polish. How does everyone else refinish their clip ...

Does anyone have an address and phone number for the warranty department. I have a Dragonfly I would like to send in and am unable to locate the info on the site.

Thanks

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I went out and picked up some Rem Oil. I think I am getting a blister on my thumb from consistent opening and closing.

Loosening up a new knife

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I recently ordered a new Delica and I have had it for a while but I am having a hard time loosening it up. The blade is still a little stiff. What technics does everyone use when they get a new knife. Also, I have heard about some of the ...

After a little research, I am not sure where in the world I came up with zytel. What I meant was the traditional black handle material. Sorry about that.

Just curious. What are everyones opinions on stainless steel handles vs. zytel(sp)? I like the look of ss but they tend to add some weight.

Collector Question

I am curious about something. At what point does one consider themselves a collector instead of an accumulator of spydie knives? Can you be a collector if you use all your knives? I would like to start collecting knives but am not sure what I want to collect. I love spyderco but their collectors ...

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Fortunately I have never had anyone make a comment about my knife. I think eveyone has gotten a bit skiddish lately with all that has occurred. I wish I could buy everyone a ladybug for their keychain with the company card but it would be impossible to justify in an ...

Is this sad?

Hello,

I was curious if anyone else found themselves in a similiar situation. I work in an office behind a desk. Having recently been affected by the spydie virus, I always carry either my rookie or delica. By the way, both look nice accessorized with a shirt, tie and slacks. Anyway, I am ...
