Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone could help me. I recently ordered a new Delica and I have had it for a while but I am having a hard time loosening it up. The blade is still a little stiff. What technics does everyone use when they get a new knife. Also, I have heard about some of the preferred lubricants everyone uses but I am having a hard time locating them. Where can I get some of the better lubricants?
Thanks
Scott

Tay the 1st thing u want to do is wash that brand new knife in warm soapy water, find an old tooth brush and scrub the fire outta the piviot joint.
I've been through the same thing with the same knife, i whined constantly for 2 weeks tried every lube on the face of the earth, sanded the inside of the scales with 600 grit polishing cloth (which i don't recomend to you btw) , and the only thing that helped was time and opening over and over.
As stupid as this sounds to you now, you can over oil it and make it worse.
Just a drop of Miltech, or Rem oil if you can't find the Miltech.
I'd stay away from the old standard WD-40 i've found it's more useful as a cleaner than as a lube for knives.
Good luck and don't worry or get disgussted with it, we promise you it will get slick with time...Ron
