This one makes a GREAT all-around user due to the 25%-75% PE/SE ratio!

I have to applaud Sal and all the crew for coming through with another knife requested from/by forum members. I won't be getting this one, as the only version of this model that I liked was the fully serrated one. I don't know why, but this model just never appealed to me very much. I can't understa...

Needless to say it, but I would definitely be in for a Delica-sized version of these:

I think the Superhawk would have sold better if there had been an SE version available.

But the two that I would really like to see in SE are the two Breedan models, the Captain and the Rescue (I still don't understand calling it a Rescue without the option for an SE version!).

I haven't spoken up yet, cause I hadn't really seen a FB Hawkbill that I liked yet (Although that Boomerang is starting to grow on me!). Then I saw this. Personally, I like this design. The bonus 'wire/rope/cable cutter' on the back of the blade seems like it would be a real plus! (Plus, there's eve...

Hawkbill knives have been the traditional style for roofers, flooring, carpet workers for a very long time! http://www.spyderco.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=24&pictureid=1287 http://www.spyderco.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=24&pictureid=1288 http://www.spyderco.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=24&...

Sure he is!

Sounds like a well informed thief to me! Who, while he can appreciate Spyderco quality, is still a thief. He could have let you take it back to your room and put it up. :(

BTW, I very much doubt that it's a coincidence his location is in Colorado...I'll bet he or someone he knew worked for Spyderco and stole from them. Charming  ...
My thoughts exactly! IIRC, Spyderco doesn't sell blades by themselves.

I've got a Mariner with an edge like that (really need to send that one in for a sharpening!) From the other side it almost looks like a straight edge! Not really an 'edge' on it anymore.

This one works pretty good for that kind of thing. It's a slightly modded Blue Rescue.

Sort of a sheepsfoot-to-wharncliffe mod.

I was just trying to say that I don't really care WHERE it's made if they DO make it. I'm not as concerned with which steel is chosen, because I trust that it will be a good one. As for color, well, unless they come up with something like that "Diaper Content Brown" that the latest Matriarchs came i...

I seriously doubt that any of the Crucible blade steels could be used because all of the Spyderco Hawkbills with the exception of the Byrd Crossbill model are all made in Seki City Japan. Which is NOT to say that if they DID make it in Colorado out of S30V, we wouldn't be interested! :D :D (J...

But a grippy handle to me is a "MUST" when using a Hawkbill because pull cutting requires a good grip. I agree whole-heartedly! That was my main reason for getting the G-10 Harpy when I already had the SS Harpy. The SS Harpy is a bit hard to hold onto for me (arthritis). Micarta would also be a ver...

I'm currently EDCing a G-10 handled, ATS-55, SE Harpy from the late 90s/early 2000s era and have been for many months now and I can't imagine retiring it any time soon. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. I know that Brother Bohica is on the same page I'm on  ;) . Maybe some of yo...

Around here, "Estate Sale" usually means somebody passed on a little while back and she/the kids/the family/whoever, is now ready to have all his junk auctioned/sold off! :D

He's a bit of a smart-azz too! One person who is or at least thinks he is an expert has contacted me and said this is a counterfeit knife. I did not see where anyone was claiming to be an expert when I read this. That is not a genuine Spyderco knife. It is a counterfeit made in China. Lea...

Hehe, we aren't that far apart, although I'm not sure where Grain Valley is located. Wouldn't a Spyderhawk made like this be the PERFECT companion knife to this one!? " (My fir...

I carry my treasured G-10 handled, ATS-55, SE Harpy on a daily basis and have been for about the last 3 & 1/2 years now. It is probably the handiest Hawkbill I've ever owned. I just can't for the life of me understand why the original G-10 handled Harpy bombed on the sales charts  ME TOO!...
