Knife Works had stock 20 minutes ago, per notif and now sold out. Missed it by a few minutes I guess.

Knifeworks sold out in under 3 minutes. As soon as I got the email I went to purchase it and by the time I tried to submit it I got a message saying it was out of stock. It went super fast.

Man these things are flying out of stock quick.

To their credit, they still honored the price. I received my shipping notice yesterday.

Same, I got my shipping confirmation as well and I'm glad they still honored the mix up.

Kind of wonder if that wasn't suppose to go on sale and someone fat fingered it because that was a very short sale window.

I'm more surprised that the knife completely came apart after going through the wash. I recently washed and dried my PM2 Magnacut on accident and it took it like a champ. Still in one piece and the action was still silky smooth, maybe I just got lucky...

I've encountered this before on a G10 Manix with AWT scales. I fixed it by installing a slightly smaller ball.



I mentioned I was waiting for a slightly smaller ceramic ball bearing to install into my M4 Manix. I wanted to lower the blade tip in the handle, after I installed the AWT scales ...

Just an update on this, I reached out to AWT and they did say that they have seen a small percentage have certain issues like this due to tolerances and blade sharpening. They stated there really wasn't much they could do other than offer a refund which I decided was the best thing to do. It sucks ...

Out of curiosity, did you change the ball. It’s been discussed before that the size of the ball (steel or ceramic) will determine how far the blade sits in the scales.

Thanks I’m going to try this recipe. It’s kind of difficult to get Rit Dye in the Netherlands but I managed. Now I need to wait for the Native 5 and dye to arrive.

How is the color holding up? Any signs of fading or that it comes off in the corners?

I was lucky enough to be sitting at my computer when the email came through that they were in stock at Knifeworks so I snagged one up immediately.

I was able to grab one up from Knifehub, already have shipping confirmation too which was really fast. Now the next question is, when I go to dye it should I actually take the time to take it apart to do it or just treat it like a salt knife and dunk the entire thing still assembled...

I have both. Prefer Cruwear a bit more over M4. However, I hate the jade handles which is why I have already taken mine apart and dyed them dark grey. Also, went ahead and adjusted my detent some to stiffen it up to my preference.
