Re: Help with the black screws
You can check "screw4you" on Etsy. I've gotten a few sets of colored screws from them.

Re: Manix Modifications. What have you done? What do you want to do?
i do feel that the plastic cage operated a little more smoothly. it's more difficult to use the metal cage with one finger as opposed to a pinch grip because the stem of the cage binds a little on the spring. i can still do it though and still prefer the extra traction of the metal.
If you ...

Aluminum Ball Cage
gotta ask... how is the slotted cage? is there any advantage to it, or is this just a looks thing?
i'm already familiar with the flytanium cages... specifically asking about the slotted version. thanks!
I like it. It's comfortable for me. I can grab it easily and not ...

Nope. I've acid etched both a Mantra 3 and a Native 5.
If I get a satin blade, it almost immediately gets acid etched, and maybe stone washed.

I love 14C28N. Good toughness, and edge retention, while being easy to sharpen. If the heat treat is done right, it's a fantastic steel. And I know Spyderco has heat treating down.

Everyone, this is super embarrassing, and I am a huge dummy. This has never happened to me before
There is a liner. But it came up so cleanly with the scale that I thought it was all once piece.

Linerless Manix 2???
Hey everyone. I just got a Manix 2 in the mail, G10 S30V, black on black. When I went to swap out the ball cage with an aluminum ball cage, there were no liners, and no cut outs for liners. Just solid G10 Scales.
From what I've seen, they have liners. Is there a model old enough that didn't come ...

Manix 2 from Reddit. S30V G10
Already have a new ball cage, ceramic bearing and springs, and a deep carry clip on the way as well.
Just need to find cool scales now.

Re: Demko AD 20.5
One of if not the best locks out there. I'll take this over the compression lock any day. No matter what grip I use I don't notice the shark lock.
I sold my Mantra 3 for this. I love the lock. I only use the shark lock to open it, gravity style. The AUS10A is not bad, especially for daily EDC ...

How do they feel? I have debated on getting a set for my Native 5.
I have a Native 5 set as well, but I have not installed them yet. I'm curious as to how they will work on the liner-less, washer-less Native 5 LW design. These will go on my Native 5 LC200N Salt.
Edited to add: They feel fine ...

Re: Anyone use a Straight/Artist Club/Shavette razor?
I use a Parker Shavette. Granted, I dont shave my face, I have a long beard, but I use it to like up my cheeks, clean up my neck, and line up my hairline after coming back from the barber.
You need to be careful, tho. It is a razor blade.
