Help with the black screws

#1

Post by Rearight »

I wanted to give my para 3 LW a more blacked out aesthetic by swapping the chrome screws for black ones.

I've sent an email to Spyderco and they could only give my the clip screws. This was what they told me.

"We apologize, but we can only provide the clip screws. For any other screw you would need to send the knife in to our warranty and repair department."

Dear Rearight:

Welcome to the Spyderco forum.

If you lose a single assembly screw, we recommend taking a photo of your knife pointing to the missing screw and sending it to us. We will send a replacement for that screw.

Choosing to modify your knife with all new hardware is a very different matter. It is not the manufacturer's responsibility to fund that activity. If you want all-black hardware for your Para 3 Lightweight, here's a commercial source: https://www.knivesplus.com/replacement- ... steel.html.

Stay safe,

Thanks! When did they start making hardware for the lightweight?

You can check "screw4you" on Etsy. I've gotten a few sets of colored screws from them.

Applied Weapons Tech now has Para 3 lightweight hardware replacement in stainless as well as titanium. Full set replaces all hardware. I have tried them and they fit and work well. I damaged my stop pin and was able to replace it and screw in both sides without issue.
