I am a huge Spyderco fan, although I have not visited this forum for a long time. I'm not an expert on knives or sharpening, so I am hoping I can get some really basic advice. I have:

The G10 Endura was a really nice blend between the efficient size of the Endura, and the comfy G10 handle/higher quality feel of the Military.

Are my eyes deceiving me or could what looks like a lanyard be blocking the blade from closing?

I understand certain models have to go but I was shocked they discontinued the ceramic benchstones.They have been a mainstay in the line for decades.

The corners on the diamond or CBN rods are the best way to reprofile an SE edge ...

My theory is that the fiberglass in the nylon inhibits wear to any appreciable amount.

I love the Sharpmaker but I wouldn't dream of reprofiling with it.I thin the edge out on a coarse benchstone until I burr it both sides and the transition to the Sharpmaker to microbevel.I know this might not satisfy those who don't want to freehand it but is my technique.

Have any on you tried reprofiling a VG10 Delica to 15 dps with standard Sharpmaker stones (medium, fine)?
From info I got, standard factory angle is cca 17dps.

Looking whether to do it or not, depending on how long it would take.
