About 14 years ago I bought a foliage green G-10 FFG Endura. They are gone now.Too bad. That knife is impeccable.Custom quality.Perfect fit and finish and absolutely no play.Never had to adjust it but it is just lightly carried. In fact the fit of the lockbar to the blade is impressively tight. Before posting this I checked 2 enduras and 1 delica that I happened to have out and none have rock. The one endura dates back to the 90's with an integral clip.

I bought an Endura (vanilla VG-10) a couple years ago. It has some lock rock. Most of the time you don't notice it, but if you have to push hard enough you do. For me this isn't an issue, it does not give me the impression of insecurity, and it does it's job without a hiccup. Just depends on whether you are bothered by a little movement being present, but I don't consider it a functional issue at all.

Some folks are happy as can be
Yep, that describes me. I love Seki knives and have had one in my pocket since 1992.

Own several and none of them have any blade play. They’re solid. Maybe I got lucky? Also the knife blades were all ground perfectly, razor sharp with very even bevels. Never understood the complaints but as I said maybe I got lucky.

Some people have major expectations for a mass produced product

The Seki Knives with higher end steel are clearly better made

The best Seki knife I had was a Dealer exclusive as I’m sure Spyderco does not want to have to fix stuff like that and expectations are likely high.

Every folder or knife has its faults. I prefer lock backs for safety. Had Too many other lock types open when I didn’t want them to so I tolerate a LB’s issues

I have 7 k390 folders

I own a bunch of Sekis, probably 15 or so, and personally haven't had any issues with them. Maybe I have all the luck, maybe I'm not as refined of a knife inspector, but I buy them with confidence.

The whole Stretch 2 XL hitting the lanyard tube is bad though. I wouldve owned the CruWear version and would have bought the Nishijin sprint but Seki does seem committed to not fixing that issue so I've passed.
