A ceramic knife would be illegal in CA because they can bypass metal detectors. And imagine the locking: what if a ceramic blade had a backlock? You'd have that backlock smacking against the blade tang every time, and it would probably crack. i doubt that is accurate. especially since you could mak...

i did that about 4 years ago with an endura.... i didn't know it until the clothes were washed and dried! i have a stain that keeps popping up in two places. rust, i'm sure, but it shows more as a stain that rubs out easy... and re-appears in 3-4 more months. vicious cycle. so... no worries. it is f...

sharpening spdie edge the way it says on the DVD....
question i've been meaning to ask: the dvd instructs you to sharpen both sides... but they SE knives from the factory only seem to be done on one side.
what gives?

as for the cons you list...
Too big? CARRY IT TWO DAYS AND YOU WON'T THINK SO
Liner Lock is not my favorite, though from what I understand it is plenty reliable and durable. I DON'T LIKE LINER LOCKS... BUT THIS ONE WORKS GREAT. AND CAN BE TRUSTED TO NEVER FAIL ON YOU.

I have to disagree. My wife is wicked good with a kitchen knife but can't sharpen at all. That's my job. In fact, I cut myself more in a week than she does all year. On the other hand, Bluntrauma, I do recommend getting a Sharpmaker or some other type of sharpener. It really gives you a whole new l...

I should mention that I do not know how to sharpen knives at all but I guess I could send either one in to Golden if they need some touching up. Thinking I really should pick up a sharpmaker but that's another subject. actually, you should not own knives if you can't sharpen them. it is silly and p...
