If youre referring to the gen4, I'd say that's a work more than one person was involved for sure. At last, this is one of the most popular Spydies...

The first Endura is a different story; this could be a design mostly done by Sal originally.

Hi Oneformula,

I designed the original Endura and Delica (1990). The pair provided a variety of solutions to "knife problems" that knife owners and users (me included) were facing at the time.

Safety, protecting the digits of the user. Strong reliable locking systems and ergos that added to safety.

Size variation to meet most market and legal demands.

Performance, high performance steels, edge geometry's, one hand open, clips, teeth.

Price.

Convenience, deploy-cut-return, each and every time.

End Line User (ELU) satisfaction.

We are now in our 4th generation of the pair, but now I have Eric and Peter to work with. As a team we design the newer generations of current models as well as new models.

Input for improvements come from our using the models, but mostly from our ELU's.

^ I agree, I own a E3 and an E4. They are great evolutions of the first gens that Sal designed and I think that they are some of the best knives that spyderco has built. I say keep the variations and new generations. Also thank you to Sal for making such great products.

Oneformula,

Maybe you want to take a look at the C10 Endura article at Spydiewiki - http://spydiewiki.com/index.php?title=C10_Endura :)
