I only carry one Spyderco, but usually have two knives and a multitool with me. My SAK Tinker goes in my left front pocket, and a Delica and a Leatherman Fuse go in my backpack. On days when I'm not carrying my backpack the Delica usually gets clipped in my right front pocket, and if I feel like it ...

I know, no Spyderco... gotta get a Delica to fix that.

I've been carrying a SAK for years, and lately it's been a Vic Tinker.

SAKs simply are so small and handy I have to carry one, no matter what other knives I have on me.

Is anyone else this way as well?

Is the construction of the white Delica the same as the construction of the Delica 4? (meaning does it have screws and liners, etc.)

I'm still torn... Like a true Spyderholic, I'd like to get them all, but have to choose one.

Seriously, I've always had a really difficult time opening knives with thumbstuds. I don't know why, I just can't get the hang of it. The thumbhole, on the other hand? No problem!

I've decided on a Delica. So, now comes the difficulty of choosing a Delica. Which one:

Standard FRN with PE blade
White sprint run FRN Delica
Waved Delica with PE blade

How has the handle stood up to wear and tear? Does it get dirty looking quickly? Is it fairly easy to clean?

Well, I went and handled and number of knives today, all which in some way fit the bill.

Delica: Not uncomfortable. Even without a finger choil, it felt good in the hand, and carried easily in the pocket. Carried low enough clipped in pocket for me too. And I like lockbacks, slightly better than ...

I can't decide. The Delica has the better blade steel and is lighter (I like FRN for being lightweight), while the Crow is slightly smaller overall (which isn't undesirable), has a finger choil on the blade (which I really like), and is less expensive.

I keep mine in a fishing tackle box. Knives in the lure slots, sharpmaker and stones in the bottom compartment.

I've been sharpening everything I can get my hands on. Kitchen knives, work knives, etc. It's a beautiful sight when you can cut a tomato with just the weight of the knife. :cool:
