Sage
I got my new CF Sage a couple months ago, and it had the sharpest factory edge of any Spyderco I have ever purchased. It opens smoothly and the carbon fiber scales are beautiful to look at and hold. I think it is now my new favorite Spiderco.

Thanks for the info on the Arkansas stones. I'd love to try this technique, but I'm a relative newbie with sharpening. Is is difficult to keep a consistent angle when sharpening freehand like this, or is it something that just comes with years of practice? Also, could you point me to a place where I ...

Finally starting to like H1 in PE
I’ve known how wonderful H1 steel is in SE, but I couldn’t find that same love for PE. I’ve had my PE Salt 1 for over a year, and I’m just now starting to appreciate this wonderful little blade. When I first got it, I wasn’t too impressed with its edge holding ability. It seemed like it constantly ...

Yes. I would second the reocmmendation of a yellow Pacific Salt. Mine is just at home in the woods as it is cutting drywall in the garage.

Where can I buy a D2 Military?
This will be my first Military and since I've heard so many good things about D2, I think I would like to try and buy a full sized Military in D2. Does anyone know Where they can be found new? I'd appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Ken

Salts in the Sierras
My girlfriend and I went for a 4 mile day hike to a little waterfall in the Sierras about an hour outside of Yosemite today. Since the rain was expected to continue all day, I decided to test out my new Pacific Salt SE and let my girlfriend carry my new Salt 1 SE. I used the Pacific to cut our ...

There's too much steel (the liners) in the E4 handle for a 'Salt' knife.
Couldn't H1 or some other rust resistant material be used in the liner as well? It might be more $$, but I'd like to think that with Sal all things are possible. If not, how about at least put the volcano type texture on the ...
