It was also very cool watching the Stage 6 live streaming video last Saturday from Golden to Boulder when early on they went almost right by Spyderco's front door.

They didn't show it there, but if you've ever been to Spyderco, you'd know exactly where they were when they passed it.

I'm thinkin' that price can't be right - like maybe a 1 got left off the front.

Actually, looking around, it looks more like the MSRP is off - everywhere else I see says $119.95.

Haven't been keeping up, but the street prices I saw during a quick look just now strike me as great (other than I ...

Kristi -

Since I haven't been keeping up with "things Spyderco" a lot lately, I don't know if Twitter and Facebook are the first uses of that US flag bug logo, but that is absolutely one of the coolest looking avatars / logos I've seen - period.

And I say that as a big online person who is ...

Just to rub it in a little more...

The weather is supposed to be very nice tomorrow - typical bright sun, not-a-cloud-in-the-sky Colorado day and mid 50s by noon.

It'll be a little cool for those going early (upper 30s), but, as I think everybody knows, this time of year anything can happen out ...

I'm surprised no one's said this (well, actually I'm not because the Native doesn't get much love around here...haha), because to me it's not even close: Walmart Native.

That specific Native is the knife I'd recommend to somebody who isn't a knife person and just wants to get a "pocketknife" - the ...

This is yet another one where when I read the always glowing reviews and realize I actually handled one at SFO, I think, "Gee, why didn't I get one of these?"

And then I remember: "Oh, yeah - no lefty option."

I can't say that if there was a lefty option on one I would get it, but the lack of one ...

All I can tell you is this...

We've lived here in Colorado Springs for 16 years, this is an area with about 300,000 in the city and 500,000 in the county, there are four Air Force bases and one big Army base (which means a huge active and retired military population and potential knife buyers), and ...

Kristi, thanks for the insights, as always.

Hannibal, you nailed it. While some may not like or agree with Wal-Mart's business practices, this idea of them as the Great Satan responsible for the downfall of all things good in the US is really getting old.

I am now a proud "Wal-Mart Native" owner ...

Sure makes me wish I'd bought however many of the blue PE Spyderhawks they had in SFO when I was up there one time last year. I could be wrong, but I think they were $55 - whatever the price was it sure wasn't anywhere near $200....duh.

And I don't wanna get in trouble here, but I have to be honest ...

Hawkbill fans - why no choil?

We've got a number of hawkbill-related threads going, and rather than mess up one of those, I thought I'd just ask this question separately...

With the pulling cut action the hawkbills were designed for, seems to me that a choil would just be automatic. So much so that every time I see a hawkbill ...

It's really nice to see this thread along with some great pics.

I think the Rescue in both sizes might win the "most carried / used yet underrated / under-discussed blade" title. Granted, that's something that's said about a lotta blades here, but I really think these might be the ones.
