Spyderco on MySpace

#1

Post by jabba359 »

Just noticed that Spyderco updated their MySpace status to read: Spyderco is looking forward to releasing something special for it's MySpace friends. Mood: grateful :)

Along with the recent forum knife announcement, it seems that Spyderco enjoys torturing us with these teases. :D

edit: also on Facebook - Spyderco is finalizing something special for our Facebook Fans. Look for an update tomorrow afternoon!

In conjunction with this, the Spyderco Twitter link (via Facebook) has the following:

ThxMuch! This weekend only - Enter TWITTER in the Discount Code field during check out and receive 25% off your Spyderco.com order.

Kristi, go ahead and delete if we're not supposed to share the discount codes in the forums. I don't recall seeing anything prohibiting code sharing, but since the codes are a new addition, the rule may not have been posted yet.

Kristi -

Since I haven't been keeping up with "things Spyderco" a lot lately, I don't know if Twitter and Facebook are the first uses of that US flag bug logo, but that is absolutely one of the coolest looking avatars / logos I've seen - period.

And I say that as a big online person who is subscribed to 200+ RSS feeds, looks at Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter all the time, and so on. (Not MySpace - it's dying/dead and I wouldn't waste the effort there.)

Which also reminds me (and this isn't the place to say it, really, but I'll just say it here) - sure would be nice to have RSS feeds coming off the forums so I could just read updates in Google Reader along with everything else and maybe actually keep up with things here like I do with other forums.
