Re: Waterway sheaths don't fit at all

You're going to have to order a couple of Bow River's now ;)

The actual Waterway sheaths are very well done. I think you'll approve when you get the right ones.. No doubt, Spyderco will make it right for you.

Re: Anyone fitted a Flytanium Brouwer scale or deep carry clip?

gull wing - the Ti scale doesn't add any weight because it is milled in a way that the original liner is removed during installation. Flytanium's website says the installed weight is 2.77 oz. Brouwer weight is listed on spyderco.com at 2.8 oz. Although, it is technically a little bit lighter, I didn...

Re: Anyone fitted a Flytanium Brouwer scale or deep carry clip?

Hi Chris - I put the flytanium scale on my Brouwer and ultimately decided that I preferred the original green g10.. It is nice, don't get me wrong. Very well made, perfect fit, easy installation, etc. As soulspy says, the finish is different from the lockside scale, but this didn't really bother me....

Re: Spyderco Value Knives

I think the Spyderco value knives that I've handled are very well done. There is a lot to choose from in the price range, but I think the ergos and rock-solid construction on some of the Spyderco offerings.. Tenacious, Resilience, Efficient, etc.. set them apart from most of the competition. I carry...

Re: Gentleman EDC / Groomsman Gift

SpydieChef? Don't get me wrong, it's absolutely a great knife, but "gentleman edc" certainly doesn't jump to mind when I think of it.. As others have said, I think the Chaparral would be a great choice. When I have to "dress up," I usually carry my "Stealth" Ti Chap, which I think is really classy l...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Really LOVING my collection lately, and find it very hard...almost stressful to choose which knife to carry for the day haha! It's typically narrowed down between 5-10 of them. I have no idea how you guys with 30+ knives can choose. Haha, we can't. Hah, I can't even decide which one of my black fri...

Welcome to the forum Giant!

Of the two, I'd go Stretch all day long. I find it to be much more ergonomic than the Endura.

Also, Dick's Sporting Goods has a couple of Spydercos on sale right now. They have a Kapara for $150.

Paramilitary 2 S110V - $134.99
Endura - $67.49

I understand why it will probably never happen, but I voted yes. I've always loved the simple, utilitarian look of the Kephart design. Old-school cool!

Anyone else have issues with flipping these open? I decided to try one, and it arrived today. The blade drops shut, so the pivot seems to be dialed in correctly, but I find it very difficult to flip open. I actually have given myself a blister on the pad of my pointer finger from the jimping on the...

Re: Discussion: What do you think is the best size for an EDC folder?

I've always felt pretty comfortable in my local Wal-marts. I just go early in the morning.. you'd be amazed at how many of the degenerates aren't awake yet. Plus, I'm pretty confident that I can still outrun the power-scooters that a majority of patrons seem to use there.. Speaking on ideal edc size...

Re: Please Help Me Buy a Flashlight!

For hiking/camping, I would highly recommend some type of headlamp. I have many flashlights, but the one that I always end up using the most is an inexpensive, base-model Petzl Tikka headlamp. I think I paid ~ $30 for it three or four years ago. Very useful, hands-free , simple on-off, bright enough...

Re: Turkey

Turkey has always been the meat of choice for Thanksgiving in my family. Ham, chicken, beef/pork roast, etc is a-okay for Christmas dinner, but on Thanksgiving, it's turkey only.. anything else is a non-starter. Fortunately, I've always enjoyed turkey, especially the darker meat. I do think that tur...

Re: Everyone knows that feeling...

Hahah, I definitely know that feeling.. I live about 7 min from my work.. I used to sneak home during the workday to go pick up my packages. Finally I got smart and just started having my packages delivered to my work. No longer do I worry about porch pirates because even if I'm not there to receive...
