Wider blades also help make straight cuts. Actually, if you think about it, with a pretty wide blade, you can only make straight cuts.

ZDP isn't any ''sharper'' than VG-10. ZDP simply stays sharp through more use (all else being equal).

Organizing 200+ dvds into alphabetical order can be a pain. Here's how I did it (its easier with a friend to help):

Have friend read off the DVD titles, type them into excel. Helps if he roughly sorts as he goes.
Sort alphabetically in excel
Put movies in the order that Excel sorted them.

Just carry the knife in such a way that it won't be seen by police at a glance. This won't help if you are arrested/patted down, but it will significantly cut down the odds of your knife being confiscated.

A good alternative to the Arc (which is a tad expensive and can have a long wait time) is the Fenix E0. Its only $20, has 9 hours of regulated brightness (12+ hrs to 50%), and is similar in size to the Arc.

I want to take sharpness to the next level, and I figure a good way to do this is with a strop. The only problem is I have little (no) knowledge of strops.

What compound? What grit (is there grit)? Cardboard vs. leather? Stropping technique?
