I am also very interested in the new T-Mag. It does look interesting. Also, I would really like to get ones of the ATR's before they disappear.
The catalog is very nice. Very nice job Joyce .

Brian, I have a strong suspicion those "fears" are well into the urban legend category. Where I work we were issued "badge holders" a few years back which attach to our pocket, or elsewhere, with a couple magnets,. Our ID badges, which have a strip that serves as an electronic key to most of the locks in our office, are in those cases 24X7 with no ill effect. The magnets in the TMag may be stronger, but don't imagine most folks will carry one smack dab up against their credit cards.

howdy Paul, I'm wearing a 95,000 Gauss SS bracelet and my Seiko analog quartz watch stopped ticking /slowed down when I wore the bracelet on the same wrist.....which lead me to this thread:

I did some research on some NeoDynium Magnets and found this place:
http://www.unitednuclear.com/magnets.htm

which is why I brought up the Q on the T-Mag....

Dang, I guess I better pick up a new Jester then, since I gifted mine to a friend a couple years ago.

I am a fan of the Jester, but the new Ladybug sure looks appealing, especially in VG-10, my favorite steel. The only major disappointment for me is the Dragonfly did not update the steel. I saw the new etched model and I was so happy, I assumed new look, new steel. I looked at the back and was sorely disappointed. That's okay. That just means I should hold out and buy that micarta kopa that I've always wanted.

Not yet, but in Sal's post on page 2 he said that it is still in engineering but it will make it into production. So, it's just a matter of when.

ATS-55 isn't a bad steel at all, really.

Congratulations Kristi and Olive for this great catalog. It is the best looking Spyderco catalog you made so far. I think it was a lot of work involved, but it worth every minute. A truly eye candy :) And you managed to surprise me with some really cool and new stuff. Ladybugs in VG-10, what could you possibly ask for more (oh yes I know, ZDP, right  ) The T-Mag is cute looking, too bad it doesn't lock. I guess one could make a variation of the Axis lock, but instead of those omega springs to use magnets  And the Byrds are very appealing too. Congratulations Spyderco and thanks for spoiling us :D

sal wrote:The H1 logo is being trademarked and will appear on each H1 product. Sorry if it may be disliked by some of you. The general market prefers the identification. It does trademark the material in an easily spotted mark.

We believe in the properties of the H1 material. Reports from customers has been good. The H1 offerings are increasing steadily.

The fact that it is H1 and the models do not rust is considered more valuable than the appearance.

No worries, Sal. I'll buy H1 with or without. Great steel. People just talking, ya know??? Don't let it worry you any.

Just to be sure that credit goes where it is due :) , Joyce and Olive deserve all of the in-house credit for the 2007 Product Guide. The overall design and layout is thanks to our incredibly talented Graphic Artist, Brian. His vision is really what you all see. We're very lucky to work with him! :spyder:

Like all of Spyderco's efforts, the new catalog is a work of art. The hard work that went into it has payed off beautifully...and is quite evident. Something like that just doesn't "happen" by accident. Congratulations to everyone at Spyderco...as alway you have much to be proud of.

On a personal catalog note: I'm old as dirt and have arthritis in all my fingers, but goll darn,...I want a Szabofly !

Great catalog. =)

Was hoping for more kitchen knives. We need a chef's knife in VG-10. That would be sweet.

I just got my product guide today. When I got the package, I was nearly bursting with joy. Then I open it up, and find a 2006 edition. :(

Kinda weird, as I ordered it two days after it was said that it was out.....

The new cataloge is great, I like the clipit picture with the see-through plastic.

[quote="ruxton"]Observation... The Edge-U-cation picture on page 44/45 is really cool.
It would be even cooler if they offered it as a poster ]

I second the call for page 44/45 to be made into a poster.

There are some nice looking knives as well, the T-Mag looks nice (as it is UK legal I think) and the Bi fold (which i think would be classed as an auto  ). The new Ladybug looks nice, along with t-shirts the black one is  .
Every thing here is Spyderific! My new word meaning 'great like spyderco'

Thanks Sal and everyone at BritishBlades.com for the UKPK :spyder: :)

I want a fully serrated UKPK :) Please Sal

Great format this year, and good to see that the Ladybug is now in VG10 but can't help but be a bit disheartened to see that the Lava didn't make the cover shot :( ;)

I was a bit worried too after noticing that the "P" and "S" specifications were missing from the main pages, but glad to see it on the specs page.

It would be fascinating to know who put together the graphic on 44-45 too  Looks pretty cool!

Overall, great looking catalog... er, product guide this year. As I thought before, much like a good year that produced a lot of fine wine in a certain region, the product guide shows that 2006 is going to be one of the finest vintages in Spyderco history!!!
Slatts wrote:T-Mag. Sweet. That is all. :D

Not really. Something is out of sequence....C-113 Caly 3.....?.....C-115 T-Mag. What is C-114?
fellyjr wrote:And WHAT is the C100 going to be??
Here's my theory, vague and late as usual :o

There's 3 Clipit model numbers in the known 100's range that remain open: C100, C107, and C114. There's only 2 models that I can think of currently that have no sku assigned to them yet: the Superhawk and the Samaritan.

I'll venture a guess that the Samaritan will be either C107 or C114, while the Superhawk could potentially be any of the three sku's. I personally am almost certain that C100 is in the works at some stage, but it's going to have to be something absolutely monumental

Despite having never seen even a picture of the Superhawk, I think it has the potential to fill the "monumental" shoes here. I mean, Spyderco really put hawkbill blades on the map so far as normal EDC, so that will have to factor in being that it's a BIG part of the company history and all. Also, aside from the T-Mag and one generation of the Walker, this will be one of the only production pieces with CF scales, something previously reserved only for special occasions :) Also, with the age and depth of the "immortal hawkbill thread," there has clearly been a lot of thought put into this, and even more clearly a lot of time put into making sure all of the details are worked out... because we're STILL waiting for it  :(

Hopefully this is vague enough...

Is the salt series logo change also because of reports of the stuff on the old logos rusting?

Slightly confused... you mean the laser etching on the logo rusting? I was under the impression that they still use laser etching for the new logos
