2007 Catalog Analysis...

#1

I guess I'll start this thread.

No Para-Military serrated edges being offered. I guess I better think about getting one pretty soon.

Nav II has been dropped. I'm calling my congressman!

A.T.R. gone!

I need to look for a better job!

Gollum! The specs page 62 lists P and S so plain and serrated. ;)

You see the Balisong trainer? and that little House Fly or whatever never made it into production...

Not really too surprised by most of the disco'd knives. Jester came as a shock but it's beefed up Ladybug replacement isn't going to make me miss it too much. SS Kiwi is a big surprise, i'm guessing it's because of the new Ladybug as well.

The ATR is the only one I am going to rush to get, might pick up another SS Kiwi as a collectible as well.

I can't believe the Ocelot didn't get cut.

The first thing I noticed was that I wished they'd have let me proofread it, but that's just how I am, so you'll have to pardon me. ;)

Other than that, I'm actually pretty pleased with the line. I liked seeing the G-10 Robin, and none of the notable discontinuations were knives I was interested in (with the possible exception of the Jester), so I'm okay with that. The etched SS scales for certain models are a nice addition, but it would have been nice to see some additional use of the Ball Bearing Lock. Either way, I'm looking forward to the sprints. :)

Do you think I'll qualify for Spyderco Fanboy if I buy all the clothes?

The etched SS does look nice, I wonder how much it would cost extra to have them etch say a Police model?

Ok, I guess the new Ladybug is ok...really the handle was the best part of the Jester so at least it lives on.

Glad to see the Centofantes made the cut.

I'm excited about all the new offerings. I suppose I'm weird, but the smallest Hossom looks awesome for SD.

Look in the 06 catalog...is the Smallfly (I misremembered). It was cute as a button in pics, just never made it into production. :(

The logo has been trickling in to the dealers. I'm sure some dealers still have the old logo, so if you order online and want the new one I advise you check with your dealer first. I call it the "SpeedRacer Logo". It is starting to grow on me. :D

What Zac said :(

Although I'm interested in the bi-fold, personally. Or rather, would be, our laws would class it as an auto. Heck, maybe customs would just see it as a random piece of metal

I like the new Ladybugs! :D

Hossom`s are great, but kinda out of my price level :o

I like the Street Beat, the folding Bifold, but it would not work for my LH.
I am tempted to try one of the waved C10 or C11 and the Chinook3 is love at 1st sight, even the price quite high for my pocket.

Was surprised to see the Scorpius again, because IMO, people dont talk too much about it.
The same for Kriss, although I like the looks of it.

Was sad to see the Yoji go, that seemed to be the ultimate SD pocket cutter.

I dont like the H1 new sign

Observation... The Edge-U-cation picture on page 44/45 is really cool.
It would be even cooler if they offered it as a poster ;)
