Apparently not. I had slight vertical blade play in a Ti Salsa and it was deemed unrepairable by the factory.

+1 from me on the Jester's blade shape. I find that folks don't appreciate it until they use it.

Is that the highest MSRP on a Spyder?

Not at all. Just look at Kristi's post on the Hossoms and Street Beat:

FB17P - Jerry Hossom Forager PlainEdge - $339.95
FB15P - Fred Perrin Street Beat PlainEdge - $239.95

Contrast that with the New Graham's price of $149.93 for the Street Beat.

I've ...

No dislikes here. I've had 'em since they came out.

It has pretty much displaced my g10 Rookies and Wegner Jr's from my pocket.

I like the UKPK wire clip so much that I've put it on some other models.

The only thing that might be nice would be to have CE and peel ply carbon fiber (like on the ...

Thank you Kristi. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

The way things work does tickle me. One day I was in the store and one of the guys behind the counter noticed my UK pen (which as pretty much displaced the Rookie from my pocket). It ...

Hi Sal,

Any chance we could get something like this setup in Golden? While it's great to swing by SFO to see all the exiting models, it seems a shame for your neighbors to have to see the latest and greatest in overseas pictures.

What is meant by "the edge hardening"? Is the steel somehow tempered to have greater hardness at the edge than the rest of the blade? Is this something already done to the knife during manufacture, or is it something that is supposed to happen as the user cuts with the knife? (The latter would make ...

Thanks. Severed.

Believe it or not I found the fine print the least objectionable thing about the graphic.

It punches my buttons when people that are doing the best they can with the hand they've been dealt are poked fun at or used as negative examples. It gets under my skin even more when kids ...

Severed,

I totally agree with your "guys guys". If these folks want to bicker amongst themselves and vent so be it.

I'm far from: having the cleanest language, being Politically Correct or championing the disabled...but the graphic you posted doesn't belong on this forum. Spyderco doesn’t ...

If you're leaning towards fully serrated and vest carry, I'd take a look at the D'Allara Rescue. It has to be one of the most underrated knives out there.

Any of the D'Allaras will probably be heavier then even the Endura 4 but its hand filling grip and Ball Bearing Lock are hard to beat.

On top ...

The protos are a differant knife but the production Ocalot is going to be G10 over SS liners.
Thanks for the correction. I missed Sal's post about the production being G10. That bumps it up a bit.

Thinking about it a bit more, a lock back design is probably a better fit for a knife the 'hunting ...

Will the production Ocelot affect the price of Ocelot prototypes?
David

Good question and, in this case, it may apply more than you realized.

The prototype Ocelots were quite a bit different from model that is going into production. As I recall the prototypes were:

- BG42
- Compression lock ...

What did you think of the BladeTech serrations? I haven't handled one but, from the pictures, they don't look like they'd be as effective as Spyderco serrations?

Blade-Tech as a user

It could be my preference for G10 but as a user, I like the Blade-Tech version much better. The aluminum handles on the Spyderco produced Mouse are just too slippery for me.

Blade-Tech is Wegner's company and the quality is there.

Unless you're obsessed with steels (or being built in America), don ...
