Was the rookie a tip up or tip down knife? I only ask because I've seen both. Were some made tip up and tip down? Or did people customize their knives?

All the G10s and stainless steel Rookies I've ever seen were tip up.

The G-10 Rookie was only made tip-up IIRC. Someone skilled could modify it to tip down however, since it has a steel liner.
