I have no idea how that could happen, but I would just call it character marks and continue using the knife.

Whatever happened to the fluted military? I had a very early pre-order, but I get the feeling it will never be filled.

LOL...I'll lend my expensive knives, but if I give one as a gift it's usually a sub-$50.

Not only do I readily lend knives, I've even given knives to people to keep. I find that after I do that, they always have a knife on them.

It seems a lot of the weird looking Spydercos are in fact amazing users that just look weird. Is the Zulu one of these?

I'd probably buy one if it didn't have G10 handles. Same reason I never bought a khukri.

Yeah agree. I know this would never be a user but I would hate it to wear out too quickly. I will wait another few months before ordering.

If I weren't going to have it as a user, I probably wouldn't care (and would actually maybe prefer the cleaner look and increased rarity of the no-insert ...

I did the same, but I will be buying one for sure once the lock bar inserts come out.

Thin grind makes it bite into the material real well, and with the narrow blade there is less drag. There are probably some minute differences in the grinds of the Chokwe and the Persian2 since they both have 3mm FFG blades and the Persian2 isn't all that much wider of a blade, so theoretically ...

The day they put background checks on knife purchases, I'm going off the grid lol.

Cannot imagine how this can happen, I use really wide band and wrap around few times, unless base had a crack. I have couple extras and can mail you the same, what I am using, if you want.

I should explain: it didn't actually crack the base. It broke the plastic within the slots of the rods on ...

I always wanted to to set backbevel at something more acute than 30, so later I would be able to microbevel with 30* setting. Somebody on this forum gave me an idea: use strong rubber band over top of the rods to make angle smaller.

Blade steels have changed a lot in the past 5 years. Does Spyerco have any plans to update the sharpmaker to angles that make better use of the characteristics of the newer steels?

Not really, but for me I simply don't like hearing one thing is coming and then getting something else.

I just noticed the collector number...that might be why.
