Both the stores that sell knives near me have a very limited selection and charge full retail. The closest cutlery store is an hour and a half away and charges full retail. The one store in town that carries Spyderco has one Spyderco knife, a Paramilitary gen 1 and it's $189. If it weren't for on ...

My G-10 scaled Military was tearing up my pockets too so I sanded (400 wet/dry in water) the G-10 and the problem was solved. The knife looks more refined, the traction is still good and no more shredded pockets.
You could probably do something similar with FRN or maybe even use heat. If you took a ...

Everything already said, and:
Don't be in a hurry and don't run the tip of your blade off the side of the ceramic stick at the end of the pass (blunts the point).

Interesting video, I've wanted a Sage 2 for sometime.
What is the appeal or benefit of hybridizing a 1 and 2? Neither hybrid seemed as nice as the two original knives, to me at least.

If I want to buy Cold Steel products I know where to find them.

Besides, think of all the meat and car hoods Spyderco would have to buy to advertise them. :D

Any time I have a serious interest in a knife and start researching it I always find plenty of info and pictures of the model on the web. I really don't see any reason for Spyderco to add any more images to their catalogs than they already provide.

I still have both my 1st Gen Enduras from the early nineties.

I really like the clip molded into the handle and the subtle texture on the clip side of the handles. I also like the raised area around the pivot, I'm not sure why it's there but it creates a continuation of the clip thickness for my ...

I'm not a collector so the list isn't too long.
I'm guessing you're asking about Spydies so here they are:
Delica, plain edge (wife's knife)
Endura, plain edge
Endura, serrated
Military, plain edge
Paramilitary, plain edge

Are you sure you want to do that, really? You've got a couple of great knifes and there is no practical justification for painting them tan. Even in a hostile desert environment is it really going to matter?

This says it all.
Grasp the blade by the Spyderhole, draw the knife from the pocket, flick the handle down and it's open. For me, it's faster than tip up. And yes, I have had tip up knives open in my pockets several times.
I don't see why anyone would prefer carrying tip up. I honestly don't see ...
