Re: Where the Heck Are the Lil' Native Lightweights?

I realize that the first version of these aren't even out yet, but this eventually is going to make it to the Salt line, no?

It would replace the Dragonfly as the perfect little paddling pocket knife.

Re: Where the Heck Are the Lil' Native Lightweights?

Great update.

This should be a great mesh shorts summer knife.

Re: Question about cleaning micarta

Hot water and dish soap works for me.

I'll usually rub the dish soap in with my fingers a little, add a splash of hot water to suds it up while rubbing, then rinse everything off and dry off with a towel.

It will dry out and look new in a few minutes.

Re: Bodacious first Sprint and exclusive?

I'm a fan of the model. But it's one of those knives that until you use it, you might not be as drawn to it And there are probably a lot of Shaman owners who realize that they don't often carry/need larger folders and aren't in a hurry to add another one.

It could benefit from an in-demand sprint ...

Re: Bodacious first Sprint and exclusive?

The KnifeJoker exclusive DLC Cruwear and Forest Green G-10 would probably be my favorite to hope for.
Knifecenter smooth black G-10 and satin Cruwear would be the second.

I have the regular s30v one and like it, but have always thought how perfect that Cruwear would be. I put micarta on mine to ...

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!

Thank you! *takes a bow*

Winning even on a light week feels good as there are some incredible pictures on this thread, and some talented photographers. I like the colors in Mrj 's pic!

I just got the scales and set the knife down on my messy work bench and it looked good in that lighting. So, I ...

Re: A peak behind the curtain at the Bodacious

As soon as I bought a Bodacious, I thought natural micarta would make it a great outdoors/camping folder. I knew it would look good, but this exceeded expectations.

Cool idea. Maybe put a pic of each of them in the thread (or a link to the post in the original thread for each one)? I know a couple off hand, but I'm too lazy to do any research 😊

Re: CPM 15V sprint run releases

Sign up for couple alerts on retailers too. Probably not the ones taking pre-orders, as they sometimes fill those before listing the knives for sale.

You'll have some time as the Yojimbo isn't a super fast seller like their most popular models, and the variety of 15v knives being released helps.

Re: Compression Lock vs. Axis Lock: Optimization and Limitations in Extreme Conditions

I've had several axis/crossbar locks over the years, and the only one that I have left is a Mini Bugout. It's a great SUPER lightweight knife that disappears in any pocket, and had a lot of cutting edge in such a small package.

But to me, less small parts the better. I've broken a few omega springs ...

Re: Metal Injection Molding by Magpul. Thoughts?

I'll wait for consumer testing. The $200+ price of the knives doesn't inspire a lot of confidence, personally. You are competing with products not just like Spyderco's USA-made models, but stuff like the TRM Atom and Neutron for example. Where's the advantage for the consumer if they cost the same ...

Thanks, man, really appreciate it! Those look great!!

Hope they´ll make such scales also for the Sage 6...
I liked the blue scale/Spy27 combo, so I wanted to keep that going.

I've only had it since September, but my Sage 5 (with micarta scales) feels like that pair of pants that is just perfect. I spent some money over the holidays and got some nice knives, but I keep going back to the Sage that melts in my hand.
