There are DLC/None and PE/SE options on this page:
https://spyderco.com/products/lil-x27-n ... ightweight
Got it. Thanks.

In the old website they each had separate pages and now they’re combined under one page. Once you select the option(s) the picture changes as well. The model number is still missing.

It seems model numbers are missing on most (all?) pages now. I miss that as the dealers do not always have the correct values. Since the web site announcement thread is no longer pinned to the top, I'll tag @TazKristi here.

I’m definitely disappointed that they added jimping to the LW but it is what it is… At least the compression lock model will remain with no instant hot spot maker - I mean jimping. :smirk

I like jimping, and add it to knives that don't have it, and seldom use a knife for such a length of time that jimping gives me a hot spot -- but you do, so I'm wondering, wouldn't it be fairly simple to sand the jimping down, either enough to get the sharp points off, or all the way, if you are just philosophically opposed to it?

///New topic: What is this feature on the handle? Is it a cut-out, recessed; or is it proud; or is it flush? At any rate, what does it do?

Looks to be the lockbar pin, or where one would be. Spyderco seems to be going more towards integrated construction for their lightweight models (kind of like the threaded FRN body screws on the Native 5 LW, Stretch 2 XL LW, and other Seki City Salt series models), so I wouldn't be surprised to find that there is either an internal pin seated within the FRN there, or perhaps it's now just FRN itself. The size of the knife prohibits extreme use, so I wouldn't count out the possibility of such an integrated component, whilst still retaining strength and longevity. Who knows, maybe this has actually changed from the photos we see (i.e. could now feature the N5 LW through-pin, or screw/barrel construction), and perhaps has been a big hang up in making this model work, ultimately postponing market delivery? The dimensions of this area will be seen soon enough :beaming-face .

They aren't missing, but they aren't displayed. It's because of the platform the new site is on. We're working on a way to display them again. Hang in there with us.

As I am typing in the search, I can see the product numbers in the found item grid. But, once I press enter to complete the search, they are no longer displayed in the resulting page grid nor on the individual product pages. I can be patient. I just wanted to alert you to the gap in case there was not yet a ticket for it.

I realize that the first version of these aren't even out yet, but this eventually is going to make it to the Salt line, no?

It would replace the Dragonfly as the perfect little paddling pocket knife.

They didn't announce anything like this, but it seems like it will probably happen at some point just based on the construction.

I might hold out for the SE version to replace the Manbug Leaf SE that my wife commandeered. I'll give it a couple more months and see how patient I can be! :winking-tongue

Funny, this Lil Native is what I've been thinking, since it came to light...might be the one small knife to dethrone my Manbug as my edc around the house. 4 years strong for the Manbug! PE edges for me though, primarily.

The Lil Native Lightweight is one I’ve really been waiting for. I’ll probably get every steel it’s made in. This thing is going to disappear in the pocket.

Plan on getting one as a work EDC. At 1.5oz I'll hardly notice it in scrubs.

They should be trickling into shops starting today. My old local shop got a few and has shipped one to me. I’d imagine most online shops should be posting them tonight or tomorrow.

I checked today, July 31. The Lil Native Lightweight plain edge is available, but the still cannot select the SE. I’m guessing soon for the SE.
Oldest: 1974 Buck 110.
Newest: Kapara C241BMBNP, Burlap Micarta, S90V
Knives owned: Too many, yet always finding another.

For some reason I thought this was going to have sub 3mm blade thickness. I was hoping for 2.5mm. I'll still pick up a blacked out SE when it releases, but I'm not nearly as excited about it now as I was when I was delusional. Pour me a couple more fingers of bourbon please.
