Re: The New Retract Knife
I really like the design, as I really like pretty much all of Ed schempps designs, very unique design language but also very functional in its intended applications. I was a bit disappointed that it’s a china budget line knife because I believe the design is worth more than that personally. Not say ...

Re: Spyderco 50th Anniversary Knife?
Pretty sweet looking, I personally would have gone for a calypso for a leaf blade 3” folder, with bolsters and flush pin construction, but that’s just me!

Re: Why I Prefer Endura
Cool post, I agree sal is a brilliant designer. The concepts are very similar in these models but I really love the simple changes and sort of revelations sal made when designing the modern edc versatile pocket knife. A lot of knives from that era were geared towards hunters in the mass market ...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
As usual I’m carrying a knife from the caly/calypso family.
Today I’m carrying my og calypso jr. One of if not my favorite knife of all time..
I put a fresh new 17 degree edge on it today for the first time and it’s sharp as a razor, always feels good when one of your favorite performing and ...

Re: Native 1 Sprint anyone?
My favorite native out of the series personally is the stainless native 2, owned one for a while and really loved it, kinda too bad I parted with it.
I prefer the original native design, handle and blade shape. It definitely has a “cool look” factor that a lot of old school stainless Japanese models ...

Re: What would be your dream knife?
Easy, Caly3 with magnacut. I'm using my salt ukpk and it's great, just not quite as good as the greatest knife ever made, the Caly 3.
I enjoy seeing other people praising the Caly design. Personally it’s my favorite design series of all time! Underrated knives imo

How similar is the Caly 3 to the 3.5? Same materials, just different length? I am a fan of the 3.5. I don't love that each one I've tried has a bit of lock ...

Re: What would be your dream knife?
I think an og style black micarta calypso in a 3.5” variation would be really sweet. The calypso is my favorite design series from spyderco, and while I do actually prefer some of the design elements of the caly 3.5, overall the calypso really strikes my eye more, and has a bit more artistic appeal ...

Re: Is the Caly 3.5 going to get a big brother?
This design family is personally a long time favorite of mine, still keeping my eye open for any news on a new addition to the calypso family. But at the same time I’m also pretty content with what I’ve already accumulated, but new amazing knives would never be a bad thing

Re: Do you clean your micarta scales?
I often find g10 often needs the most cleaning with its finer grain peelply texture pattern, is great for trapping in dirt and debris, with frn I often think it needs to be cleaned, just so it looks cleaner, as it doesn’t really affect the more agressive texture, and all the micarta I’ve used has a ...

Just thought this was cool so I decided to share it with the group. I was on eBay looking at knives, and found this gem of a folder made by Moki for beretta; IMG_7718.jpegIMG_7720.jpeg
