Re: The Delica problem

The laminate steel blades are great. It’s amazing how thin they manage to keep them.

Re: Why Did The Jumpers Fail?

There is zero problem getting the kick to land on the index finger with the RJ/LJ designs. Sal is very well aware, from what I’ve seen and experienced, of that particular problem. Even the Temperence 3 leaves just enough room to drop the blade onto a finger. Righties may not do this with compression ...

Re: Why Did The Jumpers Fail?

Well, the handle forward design is well executed here. The handle is neutral with a hook at either end. It lends itself to a hammer grip, putting the wrapped index finger as far forward as is possible without interfering with the cut. While my preference falls more toward the Signature knives ergos ...

Re: Why Did The Jumpers Fail?

I went with the Rockjumper for a handle forward Spyderco. Initially I was disappointed it wasn’t a Sheepsfoot. I got over it. It’s a great design. I like that there is no jimping on the blade. It’s primarily a hammer grip knife. The bias to close is on the light side but adequate, makes for a very sm ...

Quite a few knives in my pile aren’t street legal for me, the Police amongst them, unfortunately. It’s not just length at times, sometimes it’s purpose.

Re: VG10 is the Foundational Steel of Spyderco?

Oh! ^^^^ Yes Indeedy ^^^^ That’s the stuff! Spyderedge LC200N is, I think, the sliciest of slicy things you can possibly have! No claims for ultimate performance parameters, but if you spend some time on the rods with this stuff it’s amazing. Swick, Salt 2, I need to get this in a PAC Salt. Just awe ...
