Re: Cru Wear Centofante III !

I’ve wanted one of these since they came out, but could never bring myself to pull the trigger based on high price and reports of the lockbar impacting the blade’s edge. When I saw the “crazy deal” posted at American Edge, I bit, figuring it was worth the risk at $139.99.

My Cruwear Centofante ...

If ya don't mind waiting Dack outdoors has amazing prices on Spyderco. I just took delivery today after 40 days for a stretch 2 XL k390 for $110!

Same, I got the raffir noble chaparral for $120 and a plain Jane delica for $60. It's been over a decade since I've seen a delica around $50.

$180 ...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?

Finally checked out DACK outdoors and decided on my daughter's 2nd spydie; the rafir noble chaparral and my gf's 1st; the disco'd purple frn vg-10 PE delica.

Considering I ordered them a week ago it's safe to say they are not actually in the mail. No sweat, great prices. We can wait.

Noteworthy: I ...

Re: Spydercos being put to unusual use

I know this has been covered in the past but with the knife closed I use the flat edge of the exposed spine to open bottle tops by wedging it under the edge of the cap and pivoting it back against my pointer finger which is curled underneath the blade around the bottle neck.

It appears to be left-handed as the clip and serrations are on the opposite side. Or do I need another cup of coffee this morning. If left-handed, it is very rare.

Re: Police XL Talk

Please keep in mind that if we use a mid-back-lock, then the "kick" has to land on the pivot for the lock, otherwise the blade edge will hit the spring holder. That's why there is a longer ricasso on models like the Endura. I have "removed" the long ricasso by either turning it into a finger ...

Re: An 'Astute' assessment

Nah, I've got a delica. I like this knife specifically for its lack of a ricasso and/or choil.

Regardless, the idea of a larger version doesn't require production to cease of the original version, anyway.

The only thing I'm not too keen on with this model is the linerlock.. are backlocks more ...

Re: An 'Astute' assessment

Think it's time to resurrect the astute xl idea.

This knife is awesome, would anyone else like it about 1"+ longer with a backlock, deep carry clip and upgraded steel?

Edit: I'm thinking 1.5-2" longer blade. This handle to edge ratio is just awesome

Re: Phosphor Bronze Washer for Endura 4

Nice, I had no idea these were sold separately by retailers.

How long have these been in the seki family knives?

I have an old delica 4 that I've disassembled 1x but cannot recall if it had these washers..

Thanks

What model is this with the hawkbill and what version rescue is it?

Nice!

The C14 Rescue before 2006 (maybe earlier) had this humpback feature that I have always found to be the knife's best feature. The 1" forward section of chisel ground PE is also very handy. It's the benefits of ...

Hi Marius,

Frankly, I'm not pleased with the Caly progress thus far. I had hoped to have all 4 variations well into production last year.

I'm sorry to this, many of us are still hoping for the reintroduction of the caly family. I know I'm in for multiple.
