I'm a fan of the Tatanka. I ended up buying three, one for me, one spare, and one as a gift for my knife buddy. I carry it when in the woods and when hunting. @TazKristi I noticed an error, on Page 152, the description for the CBN ProFile stone has the text from the Medium Ceramic stone copied into it along with the correct text for the CBN stone.

I was kinda hoping for a Polestar with Military style linerlock out of Golden. But honestly, the CL will probably sell better, so I think this was a better investment for Spyderco. May seem boring to some, but I'm very excited for this one and all its variations.

While the Shaman with a backlock is likely not possible, I'd love one with a Walker liner lock. That should be possible in the same form factor.

If the blade is thinned, I'd not be interested. There are lots of thin blades with delicate tips available in Spyderco's lineup as it is.

Absolutely.

I love the Tatanka, I bought 3, 1 for a close friend, two for me. For a new one, I'd like a toughness-biased steel, CMP-3V would be my preference. The current beveled scales are also just right, for me, as is the power lock, I prefer backlocks and like the powerful self close the PL has.

My One-Eyed Jack. The finishing and inlay work are fantastic. It's the "nicest" production knife I own.

I like a thicker blade on my pocket knife, because it's the tool I always have, and I might have to use it for something other than slicing. A Made in Not-China Bow River with a medium tier steel would be fantastic, I find that knife to be extremely handy (I have 2 I use, and 2 spares :) ).

It's fairly thin, not as thin as my Japanese knives, but totally thin enough; I use one as a utility knife in the kitchen regularly. I like the blade shape more and more over time. I have a South Fork as well, but don't prefer the belly on the SF as much as the more gradual curve of the Bow River.

I would love to add a new Tatanka (maybe in a high-end steel) to my collection but only if it is manufactured in the original size. A downsized Tatanka with a 4" blade (or so) would look to me much like a Police 4 ...

I have a Native Chief which I like the size of, but I was disappointed that it wasn't as heavy-bladed as the Native 5. I like the Shaman's shape, choil, blade thickness, etc, but don't really like the compression lock.

Ideally I'd like a copy of the Tatanka, scaled down to 4.25" (maybe 4.0") blade ...
