Re: Sharpening Services
Nationalknives.com is where to get your sprint run. They are awesome to deal with. They box your knife wrapped in a microfiber towel that keeps even your boxes safe.

Vivi,
Get you one of the sprint run Police4 's, the Micro Melt PD #1 is really been some great steel with every one I have gotten. I have done close to 12 now and still counting lol...
I am not a big fan of the color of the scales, so I have either dyed them black or got some aftermarket one ...

Re: 15V Regular Production Plea
I thought the upcoming BBB folder would be in 15v and regular production, but I haven't heard anything about it as of late, so I could be wrong.

Re: Police XL Talk
Personally, nah. The Police 4 G-10 is already as perfect as an ergonomic large backlock for me.
One of the problems with a folder as large as the P4 is the tendency for the blade to be off-centered in the closed position. I have noticed this in other backlocks too, so I'm wondering if this problem ...

Perhaps. But only if BHQ is not given the exclusive rights to this one as well.
Weren't the standard black ones just regular production from Spyderco? I thought they just got the initial drop exclusive in their M4/jade combo.

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!
Yeah, they have a more neutral handle profile, but they are also contoured rather than just flat slab scales, so I feel like they are more natural in the hand than the stock scales (much for the same reason the Shaman does as well). But there are certainly other aftermarket scale options to ...

Re: With all the knowledge on edge geometry out there, why are factory edges still so common?
Another probable reason for many folks is,
People would hate to mess up the edge of a Sprint run knife. Especially if it costs $150-200 or higher, and they have only one copy if it, getting it after spending precious time chasing drops until they score one.
If someone messes it up, usually there ...

Re: With all the knowledge on edge geometry out there, why are factory edges still so common?
Honestly, some just want to collect things and leave them at that state, right out of the factory.
Some also do not want the hassle of sharpening high performance steels, or do not have the time and patience to do so.
Me, I just like to collect some, and use some. I've sharpened some steels to ...

Re: Blade shapes: Ladybug vs Manbug
I much prefer the Ladybug over the Manbug...the Manbug's thick squarish scales are uncomfortable for me. But I guess it depends on the size of the fingers one has.

I'm in the camp where i find the Chef to be just about the perfect size for EDC purposes. Why not make both? a Mag'cut OG Chef and an XL version. MY only hope is that if there's ever an XL version, they'd keep the ambidextrous clip. The Chef is one of those rare righty framelocks which is ...

Does anyone here know when Spyderco started adding these small round stickers to the inside of their boxes?

I'm just ticked that I couldn't find my blacked-out Salt anywhere, hoping I didn't lose it somewhere during a hike or something. Definitely one of my beater blades and more blacked-out options would be great, although the all black coloration is a PITA when you're trying to find it after losing it ...

Sharing this old video of unboxing my Janisong, imported from Europe, more than 5 years ago.

Cool knife but I would lose a finger.
That's the best part! It's so ingeniously designed, the "cages" prevent any accidental cuts to the fingers, plus it's only sharpened on one side, you'd sooner stab yourself accidentally than ...

I had a sketch that I was going to submit, but it was extremely similar to the Bodacious, so they've almost made my knife. I would change a few things though:
