The photos of the Para 2 I have on the way show the indentation you mention.

Or get the benchstones and the profile stones! Since you say you prefer sharpening freehand, you'll probably have no problem using the profile stones, which are even more specialized for sharpening Spyderedges.

IMHO demand for crappy products must go DOWN. Too many people buy POS knives, flashlights, or other gadgets for their looks and price, without giving any thought to the function or materials used in these products. Less unnecessary spending and an overall increase in demand for higher quality ...

I don't understand why the colour of the waved E4/D4 is described as "grey". It's always looked like a bluish-green to me. I think the person responsible for the misnomer might be suffering from some red-green colour blindness.
