My D4W is my absolute favorite knife to carry. I haven't been able to try out a Caly 3 or Centofante 3 to compare it to, but I can definitely say that like it better than my Native. Hmm. . . I was just taking a look at the "specials" section of the site and saw that there are still some D'Allara ...

I live in Indianapolis but my family lives in Canton. I don't think I'll be able to make it up there on that particular weekend but I do drive up there fairly regularly to visit so maybe I'll make it next time if things go well and there is interest in a next time.

The D'allara is discontinued, so if you're interested in starting a collection you may want to grab one before they're all gone. I'd like to pick one up myself if there are still any around in a week or two. The only one of the three that I actually own is the Delica. I have the waved version and I ...

I wouldn't think it would harm the blade at all, but I don't know what it might do to the handles. Anyone know if acetone is harmful to any of the handle materials that Spyderco uses?

I pretty much exclusively use mineral oil. It's cheap and readily available at the drug store (sold as a laxative) and is safe for consumption in case I use my knives to cut up food (like using my Native to cut my steak at Outback last night). I know that I probably wouldn't have any ill effects ...

I didn't get here in time to make any comments/suggestions before you ordered, but I will say I don't think you'll be disappointed. My FRN Dragonfly was my first Spydie and I still carry it almost every day, although my D4W and Native see more actual use. One of these days I'll get around to getting ...

In the description the seller says that the knife was given to him by Sal and that Sal couldn't remember who the maker was. . . So he's kind of telling one story with the auction title and another in the description. Both have a pretty strong smell as far as I'm concerned but like the Deacon said ...

I started a thread about this a while back on the Spyderco sub forum of Bladeforums:

In addition to the idea I presented there I've also thought that something like an Endura sized knife with a sturdy blade and a saw would be ...

I think they would have to design a new attachment method for a tip down wire clip. I don't own any Spydies with wire clips, but from what I can tell by looking at pictures they all rely on a screw that goes all the way through the handle to secure the clip. A wire clip for tip down carry would have ...

+1 on the mineral oil. Don't worry about it if the blade darkens. It's just a patina forming and it's not harmful at all. In fact it can help protect against rust. I find it very impractical to try to keep a carbon bladed user bright and shiny. The first thing I usually do with a new carbon steel ...
