NE Ohio Spyderco Meet

#1

Post by vivi »

Is there anyone in the Northeast Ohio area that would like to arrange for a Spyderco meet?

I live just south of the Akron Canton airport. If anyone is in the area and would like to join, just post and we can work on arranging a date that will work for everyone.

I'm thinking sometime around September 1st. I'll be out of town August 15-25th or so.

It depends what we would be doing? I am probably only about 30-40 minutes from you (north).

Would we just show up somewhere and cut a bunch of stuff and walk around all covert like? :D

I'd be interested. We could bring/show/swap/sell. Sept sounds good.

Bring a bunch of Spydercos so we could all check out different models, talk knives, maybe trade or sell, and of course I'll have to bring some regrinds for everyone to try out.

For those that are interested, if you have a location in mind let me know. Only meet I've been to was a small Busse meet at the Winking Lizard in fairlawn.

Yeah, I missed those. Saturdays are tough for me. They seem to book up WAY in advance with family stuff (which trumps knife stuff IYKWIM). But if I can make make it, I'd love too. Maybe bring a few Busses too!

I live in Indianapolis but my family lives in Canton. I don't think I'll be able to make it up there on that particular weekend but I do drive up there fairly regularly to visit so maybe I'll make it next time if things go well and there is interest in a next time.

I might be interested, being new and all to spydie stuff, and just a couple-hour drive away here in Columbus, but Labor Day weekend ... so much other stuff going on.

I would love to go but I will not be able to buy a darn thing. :)

I'm pretty flexible on the date. Weekends and Friday nights are best.
