Re: any bolstered slip joints in the works?
I'm hoping for either an all stainless or bolstered version of the Kiwi 4. I'd never thought of an all stainless Kiwi 4 before you said that but it's very appealing to me. I usually steer much more toward the lighter end of the scale on my knives these days but given how narrow that handle is I don...

Re: Moving is...
When I moved earlier this year it was the first time I'd ever had to change address, other than going to and from college. I learned two things - #1 is that the process is all about momentum and #2 is to try and travel light from this point forward. Good luck to those in the midst of the fun/chaos. ;)

Re: Sal, have you ever looked into making Ti Integral folder
Just a question on feasibility of releasing such a product at a reasonable price, and if its something Spyderco has ever considered, or is looking into. What's your ballpark on reasonable price ? Isn't there a collab model in the works with Rasenti that IS an integral? http://www.spyderco.com/forum...

Re: Maybe changing my opinion of Tuff-Glide as a lubricant
The best lubricant in the world doesn't do any good unless gets to where it needs to go to make a difference. With that said your point of the action feeling pretty lousy at the outset giving you a lower starting point compared to other situations is a valid one. I've always had good results with Tu...

Re: What model SharpMaker is this?
Your Sharpmaker is fine. The 20 degrees is per side and that will give you a 40 degree edge in total. Later models added slots for 15 degrees per side/30 degrees total.
I can't really see any twist to the rods but the base slots may allow for play/movement in the rods when you use it.

Says it's a PDF so Adobe Reader or some PDF reader program would be the easiest way. Same format that the Spyderco catalog downloads are in.

Re: Spyderco Mini Manix 2?
A smaller BBL knife with a straightforward design would be interesting. Other than the Manix 2 the BBL knives I can recall are the Dodo, Phoenix, Poliwog, P'Kal, D'Allara/WTC and the marlin spike on the Tusk if you want to count that. All special and interesting in their own right but none are what ...

Re: BLADE Presents The Best of Spyderco
The e-book/magazine format generally leaves me cold but this does interest me. I wish there was a more detailed description of the content or some sort of preview feature. Absent that I think I'll have to wait and see impressions from someone else first.

Re: Southard Aluminium
I don't know Spyderco's costs, and maybe this idea isn't feasible in the real world with this type of cost reduction, but everyone seems to be dismissing the idea pretty quickly. I think we're more skeptical of the premise that a simple swap of aluminum in place of Ti can be done with little or no ...

Re: Southard Aluminium
In the case of the Southard there is in first no need to make design changes, they can make almost copies of the titanium half. That work you hand over to a company that is specialised to produce these on large scale. Very common thing to do these days. But even when they make design changes it sti...

Re: Quick question on the Caly3 in VG-10 and G-10
I think if it were me again, I'd buy the G-10 version at: http://www.opticsplanet.com/spyderco-caly-fine-edge-folding-pocket-knife.html" target="_blank for $129 but unfortunately my knife fund is depleted due to an upcoming Bark River Grind-In Sept 12th at their plant in Michigan. Just as...

Re: Which Dragonfly 2
The issue of longer edge retention vs. ease of sharpening does not figure to be large concern if the Dragonfly is in the role of backup knife with your EDC kit. That said, if it were necessary to redo an edge outside of your home setup I think Super Blue or VG10 would be faster and easier to work wi...

One of the nicest looking and feeling knives Spyderco ever made in my opinion. If it's NIB the price you stated is a screaming deal.

Re: Which Non sprint/exclusives?
I'm sure better prices could be had with time & effort but let's say you wanted to make one order from a well rated online retailer. A Ladybug should be in there I think. Make it a serrated Salt version ~ $40 G10 UKPK ~ Discontinued but let's say you could find one NIB for $100 since that will g...
