I got a cricket and a mini persian this year. I'm really surprised with how much the persian has grown on me after using it for one day.

Happy holidays to all!

But I was wanting to be able to use it in front of them without worrying or having them think that I'm too scary (I get that all the time with my knives).

I get that too everytime I use my knife in front of someone. It seems that no matter what knife it is, their reply is "Now thats a knife ...

From my experience in the dorms, its not the type of knife, but being carefull where and how you use the knife. I had my endura on me all the time and as long as I didn't go waving it in front of the RA's or police, I was left alone. Maybe I was just lucky though.

Thanks everyone! Before the Tasman arrived, I planned on keeping the Endura on me to use when sheeple types were around. When I got the Tasman and compared them, I thought the Endura would should scare sheeple more than the Tasman. I was trying to be nice, but I'll only carry the Tasman as EDC and ...

The Scary Factor: Tasman vs. Endura

I finally got my Tasman Salt on Tuesday. I know that the hawkbill blade will probably scare those who do not carry a knife. While comparing the Tasman to my Endura, I wondered which is less scary?

Sorry, I would post pictures, but I don't have a camera to do so. :(

Is this when the "next Zombie infestation" will be? I suppose I should ask Zen that.

Thanks for the warning, Kristi.

If I ever get kids, one thing I'll teach them for sure is the value of a good knife, and how to handle it.

I can't agree more with this idea. My grandfather gave me my very first knife and taught me how to handle it when I was little. I'm just glad he didn't let the fact that I'm a girl get in ...

The smallest knife I've owned was a navigator. I carried that when I really didn't need a larger knife and it worked well. It fit well in my pocket, but maybe I don't notice as much since I'm used to carring a knife. I will take a moment to complain that the brand of jeans I like keep on coming out ...

Ahhh, I feel better. :D Can't wait to get it! I went for the black...I understand yellow is less scary, but I just don't like yellow, sorry. Maybe if it was in blue, but that might be asking for too much.

It will be used everyday...Hay bales need to be sacrificed(sp?) to the horse gods on a daily ...

I wouldn't carry that and don't know any other woman that would. They don't make women's jeans with big enough pockets. My endura is having a hard enough time the front pockets of my jeans.

I mostly have horse stuff in my car. The couple of hoof picks I have could do some damage. Oops, was that your eye?!?! The lead ropes and halters to choke someone. All else fails I could try and whip'em with the lead rope. I wonder what fly spray in the face could do? Watch out for those muddy boots ...

The Hawkbill is probably the most misunderstood and maligned knife on the planet. People's misconception of the Hawkbill is borne out of pure ignorance and pre conceived predjudices. JD

It doesn't help when websites selling hawkbills have them titled as "nasty".
