I carry one Assist, one Native and one Carbon Fiber Hammer.
The assist is obvious to cut set belts and blow tunes on the integrated whistle.
The Native, good value but I won't cry if stolen.
The Hammer, well it is every bit as functional as a War Hammer, but is in stealth mode much more than the baseball bat. Everyone knows a hatchet, hammer or crowbar are the prefered secondary weapons for surviving a Zombie attack too! Plus it works as a hammer.

The map pockets in my front doors are (glue) lined with indoor/outdoor (rugs)carpeting, then I have nylon holsters with male velcro attached (sewed)to the outsides, so I can position the holster and Firearm at any angle, (crossdraw, weak hand draw...etc etc) for easy reach, also a small double edge dagger (AG Russell "Sting" 1977, White Micarta Handle with the sheath set up to ride in the map pocket the same way as the firearm...and a 21" ASP Baton rests at the bottom of the door pocket.
Center Console has a Spring Loaded Nail Punch (interesting device for my own self-defense) I think every car should come with one as standard equipment...The purpose is if I ever happen to drive off into a body of water..say during an accident, chances are my electrical system will go down and I won't be able to open my doors or windows, the punch will allow me to break the driver side window when the car's interior fills with water, allowing me an escape route so I can swim to safety.
The Trunk: has an Afgany Kyber, 24" blade, Buffulo Horn Handle 1/4" Spine (kinda like a small sword) A South African Police Issued Sjambok (for parking space disputes or general torture and interrogations) and a simple Hooked Walking Cane made of Hickory Wood...opps... almost forgot... Body Armor
Thats all........Doc :D

I prefer the can of Whoop A$$ with the integrated can opener but I've seen it also come as a conventional can which of course requires a can opener. The conventional can of Whoop A$$ does take longer to open, but the Whoop A$$ does stay fresh longer. Which type do you use Doc?Dr. Snubnose wrote:Oh.....I have one of those cans of peaches too....(used to bribe would be attackers who might want to join me for peaches and cream...if that doesn't work I also carry a large can of Whoop A$$, ...you should never go into a fight without a large can of Whoop A$$...Doc :D

Carry an SE Atlantic Salt velcroed to my center console. Would serve as both a seatbelt cutter and an emergency exit device if I couldn't manage to force the convertible top open. That, and staying out of bad neighborhoods, which is very easy around here, are all I rely on nowadays. Back when I lived out in the boondocks I kept an electric cattle prod and an single shot 12 gauge and slugs in the trunk. Used the prod for its intended purpose on more than one occasion. The shotgun was in case an injured animal ever needed to be put down.

I have a survival knife in the glove compartment. Not the Rambo type, it's more compact and doesn't look aggressive at all. It has a rectangular plastic sheath where are all those thingies (fishing hooks, matches, scalpel blades aso).
The mind commands the body and it obeys. The mind orders itself and meets resistance.
6C mag lite (boy you can realy get your hands around the smaller body of that one)
you know in case it gets dark

My vehicle hardware
I have the following that I carry in my truck daily:
Surefire E2d defender flashlight
Spyderco Assist I with glassbreaker.
Victorinox Swiss Tool
Spyderench
Cold Steel 2 handed Machete
I keep those items in the truck most all the time plus the knives I carry daily.

Just whatever is on my person, I haven't got a plan set up yet. I used to keep my Salt 1 in the car, but it somehow found it's way back in the house. It's not for defense, just as an extra in those times of need. The blunted tip would be better than some for cutting a seatbelt.
I will put it back out there today if I can remember.

Some of the battery may change depending on where I am going or working etc. Usually it is a big versatile blade in the trunk, shotgun(m1entry shortbarreled legally) an extra handgun and about 200 spare rounds. Inside a firearm and folder in the glove compartment. A flashlight in the console and the door and finally whatever I may be carrying that day. The window punch is a definite addition that will be implemented. Take care and God Bless!

Of course, I carry what I'd normally have on my person.
I haven't stashed knives and guns all around the car, no. For one thing, it's summer time in Florida, and stuff can actually melt when left in a car. I don't know how well FRNR handles would fare in a glove compartment for days on end when the car's interior temperature can easily pass 120° F. Maybe it'd be fine, maybe it'd get soft and too flexible, maybe it'd deteriorate over time. I just don't feel it's necessary to find out since I have at least two knives on me, plus a couple in my knapsack.
In the console, I have an ASP baton (I forgot the length, it's medium or so) and a can of pepper spray.
Pepper spray, a non-lethal option, is conspicuously absent from a lot of the lists I've seen in this thread. Every situation must be analyzed and handled individually, of course, and in some cases you would need to go right for a gun or impact weapon, but sometimes there's gonna be a call for just warding someone off with something that won't get you charged with aggravated assault or attempted murder!
I also have an Ontario sawback machete in the rear hatch, as well as a Gerber Camp Axe.
I need to replenish my stash of paracord back there. That stuff comes in very handy.
